The late Jane Berry Haynes, who founded Phoenix Renaissance, Inc. in October 1994, was dedicated to promoting comprehensive community revitalization by enhancing the capacity of community leader to effect change. Based on her love and friendship for the residents of the Racepath Community in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Ms. Haynes embarked on a concentrated effort to assist the community in obtai

ning the needed services and resources that would result in long term community and economic restoration. Today, Phoenix Renaissance, Inc. is headed by The Rev. William Gause, a long time resident of the Racepath Community. Gause picked up where Jane Barry Haynes left off in helping the community to realize its own potential.
