Champion Autism Network, Inc. CAN’s vision is to create a world where all people living with autism CAN live, work, and play without judgment, guilt, or worry. And their world shrinks.
(1)

For too many families living with autism, simple things like grocery shopping, going to the movies, attending an event, or taking a family vacation, are a struggle, if not impossible. For their family member with autism, the lights, sounds, smells, crowds, and unfamiliar surroundings can create overstimulation, overwhelm, and anxiety, which can lead to meltdowns. When meltdowns happen in public, families are often met with more judgment than support, and the fun experience they were trying to have becomes frustrating. For many, it’s easier to just stay home. The good news is: at CAN, we are educating and empowering communities, businesses, and organizations to promote understanding around autism and to create supportive and judgement-free experiences for people living with autism. Each day, through our signature CAN Card program, we connect families with our growing network of autism-supportive businesses and destinations who are trained and excited to welcome them! CAN is opening up a world of opportunities and we invite you to !

Hello,

I wanted to personally share an update about Autism Travel Club and what comes next.

AbleVu has acquired Autism Travel Club, and we're excited about the opportunity to bring together two organizations that share a commitment to making travel and everyday experiences more accessible.

As part of this transition, the Autism Travel Club app will be going offline soon while we work toward bringing everything together under AbleVu.

Here's what this means for you:

You will no longer be charged for your ATC app subscription.

You'll continue to have access to the app until it goes offline.

Our hope is to bring the app back better than ever, with new features and expanded accessibility resources through AbleVu.

In the meantime, we encourage you to visit www.AbleVu.com, where you can find much of the same accessibility information you've come to rely on, plus even more resources to help you plan accessible experiences.

We're not announcing a relaunch date just yet, but we're excited about what we're building.

Thank you for being part of Autism Travel Club. We appreciate your support and hope you'll continue this journey with us.

If you have questions, please reach out to us at [email protected].

Warmly,

Meegan Winters

Bricks and Minifigs has changed their day to Saturday 9/26 at 10a.
This is an all inclusive sensory friendly event. Families of IDD/autism will enjoy this free event in a quiet private room with lots of Legos to build what you’d like. Who doesn’t love Legos!
We just ask that you call to reserve a space.
Looking forward to seeing you on the 26th
