The day has been quite eventful. Melissa Dion, one of our legionnaires, was up early at 5:30 am to assist the Sons of American Legion in Murrells Inlet with their 5K run to benefit veteran’s. She was responsible for placing stickers on the participants' race bibs in memory of veterans who have passed away, on behalf of the Blue Star Mothers. Upon returning home, Melissa began working on a project for the post, specifically painting new letters and numbers for the front. It's been announced that she and her father will be installing a mailbox at the post tomorrow. There's a lot happening at Post 40, and all members are invited to attend the next meeting to see the recent enhancements.
