Today, Ebony’s Hope received one of those calls you pray never comes.
A young woman’s life was taken by domestic violence, and now a family is left trying to grieve, plan, process, and breathe.
This is why Ebony’s Hope exists.
For the hard calls.
For the funeral assistance applications.
For the resources.
For the advocacy.
For the families who do not know what step comes next.
For the voices that can no longer speak.
But we are not only needed after tragedy.
We are needed before the obituary.
Before the vigil.
Before the funeral.
Before another family is forced to say goodbye.
For years, Ebony’s Hope has stood in the community saying what still needs to be said:
