Our troops annual planning meeting was held Tuesday night. Ideas for the next year's activities were discussed and the Summer Camps we will attend next year were presented and approved by the troop.
2025 Summer Camps will be:
NCAC Camp Snyder, Haymarket, VA
Baden Powell Council Camp Tuscarora, Windsor, NY
2026 High Adventure Camp:
Northern Tier National High Adventure Base, Ely. MN
Also scouts are interested in attending the 2026 National Jamboree at Summit Bectel Reserve, Beckley, WV.

The boys from Myersville Troop 273 have returned from Philmont Scout Ranch in NM. While there they managed to hike over 55 miles through the mountains of northeast NM. They also summited the tallest mountain in the area, Mt Baldy with an elevation of 12,441 feet. Out troop provides many of these high adventure opportunities every year. Next year the boys have voted to attend Sea Base in the Florida Keys.

Myersville Troop 273, chartered by Catoctin Fish and Game Protective Association, has a group of 6 boys with 3 adults headed to Philmont Scout Ranch in NM. The 50 mile trek is preceded by stays in Colorado Springs, La Junta, CO and the NRA Whittington Center, NM.
