W Jefferson Ave is under construction due to maintenance on the water main. Because of this construction, the entrance to W Jefferson Ave from 501 is currently closed.

We realize that this is an inconvenience for our patrons and ask for your patience as this project continues.

If you are concerned about entering the library parking lot, please use the entrance to W Jefferson Ave at the opposite end of the street. This entrance is located in front of the Post Office and connects to the parking lot of Smithโ€™s Candies.

Please see the map for more specific information. Thank you!

๐Ÿ“š Much More Than Books, Banned Books Week Spotlight: "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury

What if books were forbidden and reading was a crime? ๐Ÿ”ฅ In Ray Bradburyโ€™s classic novel, "Fahrenheit 451", books are banned, and firefighters are tasked with burning them. This thought-provoking story explores the power of ideas, the importance of curiosity, and what we stand to gain when we make space for different perspectives.

Books invite us to imagine new worlds, ask questions, and see things through someone elseโ€™s eyes. Thatโ€™s one of the many reasons reading matters!

๐Ÿ“– Curious about "Fahrenheit 451"? Stop by the Myerstown Community Library to discover this classic and find your next great read. Because every book is an opportunity to learn something new!
