Thanks to very generous donors we are proud to share that we will be able to offer two $1,000 scholarships this year, and still be able to maintain the longevity of the fund.

Applicants must be current Mustang Bands Seniors. The two recipients will be announced during the Fine Arts Signing Day on May 13, 2026.

So many of you all continue to help us build this scholarship in Jot’s name. We are grateful for every donation, no matter the size, because we know it comes from the heart.

Tomorrow, Samantha and I will present the first Jot Turner Memorial Scholarship. As painful as it is, we are grateful for a community that has helped us build Jot’s Scholarship Fund, so that his legacy will live on. It strengthens us to know that his name will continue to be spoken and that he will never be forgotten 💜

The Jot Turner Memorial Scholarship application is live, and open for any Class of 2025 Mustang Bands Member (Instrumentalist or Guard) to apply for. This year we will award one $1,000 scholarship. The recipient will be announced at the Mustang Bands Banquet.

We appreciate the support of everyone who has donated so far. We will be awarding a scholarship to a Mustang Marching Band member from the class of 2025 this spring. Our goal is to create a fund that awards scholarships annually for as long as we can sustain it.
