Wow! Welcome all friends of Faber! I see you have been sent here on a mission to Shame TRR over her posts about Suni. Let me fill you in a bit..
I was recently contacted by Stephanie demanding refund of her purchase price of $800 for Suni. I have been in contact with her since July 21st when I was made aware she was trying to contact me about the surgery Suni had just had on July 13th. Stephanie sent me medical files from both her regular and orthopedic vet as well as the attached X-rays. Upon seeing the X-rays, I was immediately concerned as to WHY this puppy had had such an invasive surgery with how good the hip formation looked. I asked Stephanie to submit her original X-rays to OFA for evaluation as a second non-associated opinion which she denied to do. I then asked for the originals with all patient information on them to be sent to me so I could submit them myself, to which I am still denied at this time. I also asked for COMPLETE medical files to be sent to me which would show when Suni was diagnosed and when X-rays were taken. All I have is a cropped down medical file from the Orthopedic to only show when Suni was admitted on July 13th for surgery and discharged on July 15th and a medical file from her regular vet with last regular appt on 5/20/22 for UTI. Our contract states I am to be notified within 14 days of DIAGNOSIS, not 14 days of procedure! If I had been notified within 14 days of diagnosis, I could have advised her owners on my opinion and got her in for second opinions to avoid the surgery.
I posted Suni’s X-rays on multiple Facebook sites dedicated to hip and elbow evaluations and received the same response across the board that the surgery Suni had was unwarranted and unnecessary. I have had my two vets(retired and current) review the films and they say the surgery was unnecessary, hips look fine. I refuse to give a refund under the current circumstances and welcome this being taken to ”small claims court” which has been mentioned by Stephanie.
I have bred labs for years and never had one issue but know dysplastic hips and elbows can present in any puppy. I do everything in my power to raise the puppies on correct footing and with every aspect taken into consider to develop good, correct hips and elbows. I cannot control what a puppy buyer does once they leave here.
My puppy family knows I stand behind them and I visit with so many on what some think are silly questions to ask. I love talking about my pups and with their owners and I love seeing them grow and watch their posts on my personal page. I have never been contacted from Stephanie since the day Suni went home other than her contacts starting July 13th. There was never any mention that something may be wrong, just that she had surgery.
So, continue on your mission to shame TRR. I am retired from labs now but will not retire from my puppy families as each knows they have me for life and I will stand behind them and my puppies 100%, just as I would Stephanie if she would cooperate.
