Sabercats 12u Kelly earns Gold! 🏆

Summer Slam Champions and a perfect 6 & 0 on the weekend!

After earning the #1 seed through Saturday play, they'd roll through game 1 of bracket play on Sunday followed by a come back win in the semis. That'd get them to the title game where they'd knock off Finesse for top prize!

Championship Sunday

After opening the day with a bracket win, we kept rolling with a 4-2 semifinal victory over Elite. Trailing early, we responded with a four-run fifth inning sparked by hits from Alea McHenry, Macie Jimenez, and Cecelia Halmon. AndiLynn Kelly was outstanding in the circle, striking out six over five innings.

The girls carried that momentum into the championship game, battling back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat Finesse 5-3 and claim the Summer Slam Gold Bracket Championship. A four-run third inning gave the Sabercats the lead, while AndiLynn tossed two scoreless innings in relief to lock down the win. Alea, Macie, Hadley Bourdo, and Cecelia each collected multiple hits.

SUMMER SLAM POOL PLAY RECAP

What a day for our squad! The girls went a perfect 3-0 in pool play and earned the #1 seed heading into Championship Sunday.

Game 1: The bats came alive early as the Sabercats exploded for 13 runs in the first inning. Hadley Bourdo and Cecelia Halmon each drove in three runs, while Violet Kwiatkowski went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate. Macie Jimenez started in the circle, and Allie Delano closed things out with two scoreless innings.

Game 2: Macie Jimenez led the offense with three hits, while Cecelia Halmon and Sylvia Lengkeek each drove in three runs. AndiLynn Kelly threw a no-hitter while striking out 7 over three innings.

Game 3:Alea McHenry put together a performance to remember, driving in five runs and striking out 12 batters while tossing a no-hitter. Avery Ellis and Alea each collected two hits as the Sabercats finished the day strong.

Championship Sunday starts at 11:00 AM!

Sabercats 10u Stephenson on a roll again this weekend as they earn yet another #1 seed heading in to the Gold division for Championship Sunday bracket play!

Girls play two solid games today and win both earning 1 seed in their pool and into the gold bracket.

Game 1- Layna hogan was dominate on mound going 4 innings with 10k in a 11-1 win. Peyton VanRees comes in and closes out last inning. Hogan gets 2 hits and Stephenson knocks in a run with a triple. VanRees adds 2 hits and 2 RBIs.

Game 2- Stephenson throws a strong 5 innings giving up 2 hits and 11ks in a 5-1 win over Tri-Valley. Hogan adds a home run and Reese Spoelman adds an RbI and scores twice.Kynlee Potts adds last RbI of inning

We have a National Champion! 🏆🥎

Congratulations to Elizabeth Savacool and Madonna University on winning the NAIA National Championship!

Liz of Mona Shores High School/Sabercats Pastor played in the Sabercats organization from 9u to 23u!

Of these 3 pictures, the second one is our favorite as Liz leads her team in prayer, she has always been strong in her faith and gives all glory to God! ✝️
