Registration is now open for our 2026 overnight youth events at Mona Lake Park in Muskegon Heights: “Turning the Lake Pink” for young ladies (ages 8–16) and “Night on the Lake” for young men (ages 10–16). Families are encouraged to secure their child’s spot as soon as possible by using the registration QR codes on the flyers or by contacting the Lake Hawks in Flight Foundation directly for assistance with sign-up details.

We are also seeking dedicated adult volunteers to support both events through supervision, activities, and mentorship. All volunteers must have a 2026 background check on file with the West Michigan Lake Hawks prior to serving at either event; individuals without a current background check will need to complete one before being scheduled.

If you need additional information about registration or the background check process, please reach out via email or phone listed on the event flyers so we can assist you promptly.

What an incredible year for our 5th Annual Shop With a Cop! The West Michigan Lake Hawks In Flight Foundation, Inc. would like to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who made this event possible.

A huge thank you to My Lakeshore Subaru for sponsoring and helping make Christmas brighter for 100 children this year—you made dreams come true. A special thank you as well to Walmart on Henry Street for hosting us once again and always going above and beyond to ensure the day runs smoothly.

We are so grateful for our amazing volunteers—including members of the Zeta sorority, all school volunteers, and the hardworking Catrice’s Catering crew—for their dedication and teamwork. Whether wrapping gifts, serving food, making candy bags, or keeping things clean and organized, your efforts made everything flow perfectly.

And of course, to our local heroes who joined in to shop with the children and bring so many smiles: Muskegon Heights Fire Dept, Sergeant Hull of Muskegon Heights Police Department, Michigan State Police, Muskegon Department of Corrections, Muskegon County Prosecutor's Office, and the Muskegon County Hazardous Materials Response Team—thank you for showing what community service truly looks like.

Lastly, to the West Michigan Lake Hawks team, congratulations on another successful event! We’re proud of the continued partnership, teamwork, and love you pour into our community. We look forward to many more impactful events together.
With appreciation and holiday cheer,
The West Michigan Lake Hawks In Flight Foundation, Inc.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
