Message from Matt from January 2023

"Dear Star Treatments Supporters,

I know that many of you have been along from the very start of our eight year journey, but it is time to close the chapter on Star Treatments. Together, we have been able to send families on hundreds of rides and raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to help those in their time of need. Over the past two years, there have been many factors that have been limiting the amount that our team here has been able to accomplish with Star Treatments. Time- being the largest factor.

With our organization being volunteer based, we haven’t had the same amount of time to dedicate to fund raising, marketing, event planning and outreach. Sure, we have continued to help families- but the general consensus is that we are no longer continuing to grow. It has also become harder than ever to continue using third party transportation companies post-pandemic. Because of this, Star Treatments will begin the process of dissolving in 2023.

So what does this mean exactly? First of all, I'm sure you have heard us promote our sister charity “ Project Fire Buddies ” and seen the amount of collaborations we have done together. Their mission statement and core values align with ours in a major way. When it is all said and done, the remainder of our funds will be transferred over to them to help them continue carrying out their mission. Their growth over the past few years has been tremendous and we feel that they can do a lot more with those funds than we are able to at this point. What about monthly donations? If you currently make monthly donations to Star Treatments you will need to go to PayPal’s website and cancel them. We will be accepting final donations through the end of January and after that we will begin refunding any that still come through and then deleting the Star Treatments PayPal account all together. To cancel your monthly subscription, please follow the instructions in the following link:

If you are looking for another non-profit to donate to, I would highly suggest signing up for monthly donations to Project Fire Buddies! All the information you need to donate to them can be found here:

To all of you have have donated, supported or received support from Star Treatments over the years- I am incredibly thankful for you. It has been an honor to see something like this come to life and help so many families over the years. It has truly been a huge chapter in my life. Thank you so much to our wonderful team members as well… Tiffany started the first ever round of fund raising for us! She raised around $1,500 that got us off the ground and started the ball rolling. I've had the honor to meet and work with many others who have jumped on board since then… Each one of them making a lasting impact in the lives of these families. Jonny, Stefanie, Sharlene, Marta, Jamie and Diane just to name a few- thank you for being an important part of this journey.

To the families we have worked with and their children who are forever our Stars- Thank You for letting us be part of your story.

I wanted to refresh for those who may have missed the announcement in Jan 2023. Please note that we are no longer coordinating rides, fundraising, beneficiaries of fund raisers, etc...as we work on completely dissolving Star Treatment's. Our socials remain active as we share Project Fire Buddies for you to learn more about the organization that will continue on the legacy of Star Treatments through their mission of spreading Joy to children battling terminal illnesses. -Jamie

Every illness a child is battling, is a fight we will give our all too. We strive to ensure that each child we reach will stand with the support of our firefighters and our community. We are firefighters who offer support and give back to children fighting serious illnesses.
