Greater Muskegon Service League We believe that we have the obligation to support the community by providing volunteer service and charitable gifts.

We further believe that in doing so we support each other through friendship and that we become more capable women and role models.

Everybody gather around, Jamye Olthoff is this week's member spotlight!
"I joined Service League for the 2nd time in 2020 (after living out of state for a few years) to become more involved in serving the community and get to know other women in the area. My favorite parts of Service League are working at The Feeding America Food Trucks that we sponsor twice a year and being the Chairperson of the Women & Children’s Fund committee. Having the opportunity to financially support local projects that benefit women & children in Muskegon County through our fund at the Community Foundation is the heart of Service League, and I’m honored to be a part of it." - Jamye

Let's all shout out Amy Johnson for this week's Member Spotlight!!
“To me, being part of the Greater Muskegon Service League means giving back to the community that helped me build a strong foundation to successfully launch into the world. It’s also incredibly meaningful to me to follow in the footsteps of a legacy organization that my mother, stepmother and several other women I deeply admire were part of. I hope to honor their example by carrying forward their commitment to making a difference in the community I’m proud to call home." - Amy Johnson

Let's celebrate this week's member spotlight: Amy Rudholm!
Joined GMSL in 1996 Served as Vice President of Financial Development and currently serves as Secretary.
“Greater Muskegon Service League for me personally is a close bond and feeling of fellowship among generations of women working together cooperatively to promote the welfare of others driven by a love for humankind. It is honoring the women who started GMSL in 1930 and to carry this legacy of supporting one another to become capable women and role models. It is meeting today’s needs of our community and shaping tomorrow with long-term grants from our Women & Children’s Fund at the Community Foundation for Muskegon County.”

Newest Member Spotlight: Chris Burnaw
Chris has been a GMSL member for 21 years - a number that's easy to remember because she joined while expecting her youngest son! She joined to serve her community, but in addition to being able to give back in a meaningful way, she also became part of an amazing group of women and built friendships that last through today. She has held a variety of roles with GMSL, including President, and loves being able to use her time and talents in supporting both GMSL and the greater community. She believes in the power of collaboration to create lasting, positive change in our world, which is also the spirit of GMSL. She looks forward to many more years of supporting Muskegon County with her Service League Sisters!

A dedicated member since 1993, she brings decades of passion and commitment to a group that has been giving back to the community since 1930. Through GMSL, she has built meaningful connections, worked alongside incredible women, and formed lifelong friendships while watching one another grow. To her, philanthropy means loving mankind enough to stay committed to creating lasting change—whether across the world or right here in Muskegon County. She is excited to lead GMSL and remains deeply committed to making a difference in the community.
