Construction on Broadway Ave in Muskegon Heights is complete!

This nearly two year process included reconstruction and resurfacing of 1.78 miles of
Broadway Avenue from US 31 East to Getty Street.
Including new sidewalks and a bike lane, water main, and lead service line replacements.

Thank you to Metro Consulting, Prein & Newhof, and the Smith Group for their design and management work.

This work would not have been possible without the support and funding from our State and Federal partners. GMED was happy to help convene partners and support this project from conception to completion!

Great people, great weather, and great conversation! ☀️

Yesterday our office, along with the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce and West Michigan APEX Accelerator team enjoyed happy hour!

Taking full advantage of Michigan's summer weather, we spent a portion of the afternoon enjoying lawn games, eating hotdogs, and spending time together.

Grateful for the partnerships that make the Lakeshore business community so strong!

Big things are happening in Downtown Muskegon Heights!

The Downtown Muskegon Heights Façade Improvement Grant program is a joint effort by Greater Muskegon Economic Development, the local DDA, and community sponsors. The Muskegon Heights Central Business District is in the process of an extensive revitalization!

Urban Apparel, Flavor Chicken, and Read Muskegon have already used this grant for their business, and three more downtown businesses are currently in the application process to secure funding for their own upgrades.
