✨ ONE WEEK IN GUATEMALA! 🇬🇹❤️

It’s been almost one week, and we are loving every minute of it! 🥹🙌🏼

We’ve settled into our apartment, visited the sweet babies at the foster home, and celebrated Día del Niño (Children’s Day) in the village of Pitayaha with piñatas, cookies, and drinks! 🎉🍪

I’ve had the opportunity to work in the medical clinic, helping our medical provider see patients. One of the biggest blessings so far has been using your donations to provide one patient with a three-month supply of a very expensive but much-needed medication. 🥹❤️ This is exactly why we do what we do!

We’ve made several grocery store trips (and are slowly learning our way around 😂), picked up a tiny bit of Spanish, and spent time praying over the team that arrives in just TWO DAYS! We can’t wait to see some familiar faces and see what God has in store for us next! 🙌🏼

This is only the beginning, and we can already see God moving in so many ways.

Follow along on our journey because it’s a good one! 👏🏼🇬🇹 All glory to God for every opportunity, every connection, and every single thing He has put in place for us. We are so grateful to be here and to be part of what He is doing!

This past weekend, we had the honor of meeting with our FIRST mission team that will be joining us during our second week in Guatemala! And y’all… we are SO excited. 🥹 We truly believe God has big plans for this team and for every person we will encounter.

We have 4 medical providers who will be assessing and caring for patients, along with several non-medical team members who will be jumping in wherever needed—helping in the pharmacy with prescriptions, leading worship, sharing the Gospel, praying with patients, doing children’s crafts, and so much more.

We’ll also spend time in a local village inviting the community to a church service we’ll host, and we’ll visit different areas and ministries throughout the community to pray over them, encourage them, and serve however we can during our short time there.

Brandon and I are SO honored to be leading this team and cannot wait to see what God has planned for each team member. ❤️

One of the biggest things we talked about during our team meeting was: “Be flexible and be ready for anything.” 😂

Because if you’ve ever been on a mission trip—or really just traveled to another country—you know… you can have a plan ALL day long and then BOOM. Something happens, plans change, and you’re going a completely different direction 5 minutes later. 😂 That’s just the mission trip way!

But honestly, those unexpected moments are often where God does some of the coolest things.

This team is going to ROCK it, and we cannot wait to see what God does through them! 🙌🏼

We are so excited to be prepping and planning for our upcoming trip to Guatemala, where we’ll be spending 3 months serving alongside BBIC!

Guatemala holds such a special place in my heart because it was there, back in 2018, that I truly felt the call to missions. Of course, at the time, I had absolutely no idea what God had planned for the future. Looking back now, I’m just so grateful that my love for traveling collided with my passion for serving and caring for others. What a beautiful journey it has been for both Brandon and me! 🤍

That being said... we are definitely in need of some rest. 😂 So right now, we are enjoying this short and beautiful season of rest that God has blessed us with as we prepare for what’s ahead.

We would truly appreciate your prayers, continued support, and encouragement as we get ready for Guatemala! We are so excited to see what God has in store. 🌎🙌🏼
