🎃Join us for Halloween Movie Night🎃

👻THP families both past and present are invited to join us for a Halloween event on October 29th from 5:30pm-8:30pm.

👻We will be showing Casper (1995) outside (weather permitting) on our 20ft inflatable movie screen!

👻 We will also have snacks, treats, and more!

👻 BE SURE to bring a lawn chair / blanket to watch the movie!

👻We also encourage everyone to dress up- best costume will receive a prize!

‼️Snack Shortage‼️

🌟THP has a snack shortage! We are hoping some of our friends and supporters can help us out!

🌟We are currently accepting donations for snack food items to be available for our children and families when they visit us! Most snack food items will do- if your kids like it, ours probably will too!

🌟To donate: Order directly from our Amazon Wishlist and items will be delivered directly to us OR drop off any items at our office in Muscle Shoals! We are located at 2409 Wildwood St. Muscle Shoals, AL 35661. Our office hours are Monday-Thursday from 9-3. If you need to drop off items at a different time, feel free to message us so we can make sure someone is available!

💙Today is World Mental Health Day💙

🎗️While we are always working towards normalizing the conversation around Mental Health at The Healing Place, we know that guilt, shame, and blame still play huge roles in keeping individuals from getting the help and support they need.

🎗️Today we encourage everyone to have open and honest conversations about mental health and how it is impacted.

We know that:

🎗️1 in 5 young people (age 13-18) has or will develop mental illness in their lifetime.
🎗️1 in 15 people attempt su***de.
🎗️1 in 5 people struggle with suicidal thoughts
🎗️Depression is the leading cause of disability worldwide

🎗️We send love and support to anyone who struggles with mental health and remind you all that The Healing Place is always here to help.

TONIGHT!!!

‼️GROUP NIGHT IS THURSDAY‼️

💙 We are so excited to see everyone THURSDAY (October 8th) for a Grief Support Group!

💙 Group will begin at 5:30 with dinner!

💙 At 6pm we will separate into our four age groups: littles, middles, teens, and adults.

💙 Group will end at 7pm! Please be ready for pick-up at 7.

💙 We would love to have any children and families in need of grief support join us!

The 2026 Healing Place Charity Classic Golf Tournament was a BLAST! Thank you to our Board member,, Darlene Adams for organizing another fantastic event!

We have many, many people to highlight and give thanks for making this event such a wonderful fundraiser for THP! Those thank yous will be coming soon. For the time being, just know that we are endlessly grateful for every single golfer, sponsor, donor, volunteer, and supporter who contribute to this event every year. This fundraiser allows The Healing Place to directly serve hundreds of children and families who have suffered a loss.

We can’t wait for next year!
