**What is MomCo and what do we do? Muscatine MomCo is a group that seeks to connect, embrace, support and equip all moms. Formerly known as MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) International, the organization has recently rebranded to The MomCo, which includes all moms with children of all ages! Moms are given time to talk, laugh, learn, relax, and build supportive and loving relationships with other moms. Monthly playdates, mom’s night outs, and family outings create opportunities outside of regular meetups to further connect and foster deeper relationships. We connect moms together.
**Who is MomCo for? All moms with children of all ages. Childcare is available for all meetups.
**What does a MomCo meetup look like? We show up in a mom’s world where she is. We talk about real things in honest ways and provide practical help, education and resources to help her feel more equipped as a mom, woman and leader. When moms are resourced, they elevate everyone around them. A meetup includes breakfast, light devotion, and an opportunity to connect with other moms. Usually, meetups include practical teaching through speakers, demonstrations, video or discussion. Sometimes we get crafty. Sometimes we join hands to help the community. One this is for sure though—we always have fun! This is a judgement-free zone. We are all moms and face similar challenges, so we give each other grace and love one-another as we are.
**When are the meetups? We meet from 9-11 am the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month, from September to May. Our meetups are in the Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church, which is located at 3003 Mulberry Ave. in Muscatine Iowa.
**How do I sign up? Registration is required so we can assure the correct ratio of childcare volunteers to kids. E-mail or message us to get your name on this list for this fall! Also, be sure to attend our 2024-25 Open House on Aug. 28 from 9-11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church gym to register! [The MomCo by MOPS International membership fee and local dues are required. Scholarships available.]
