Welcome to Muscatine, Anna!

Today we had the opportunity to meet Anna Dominguez, the new Executive Director of Flickinger Learning Center, and hear about her vision for carrying the organization’s 25-year history into its next 25 years.

Flickinger Learning Center provides educational opportunities for learners of all races, beliefs, and abilities, with a focus on building stronger individuals and a healthier community. At its core is a commitment to providing a safe place for kids and valuable support for families.

Anna shared some of the work already underway, including strengthening partnerships with local school districts, expanding staff training and credentialing, and continuing to build both school-year and summer programming.

There are also plenty of opportunities for our community to be part of Flickinger’s work. Something as simple as volunteering an hour a week to read, spend time with kids, and be another positive adult in their lives can make a difference.
