Congratulations Gage on your International Harvester Award!

Gage Maurer of Muscatine County received an International Harvester Award alongside Derek Racey, IH Chapter 5 member; Brian Holdeman, IH Chapter 5 board member; and Robert Whitt Jr., IH Chapter 5 board member. Maurer was recognized for designing and building a display shelf featuring the International Harvester logo and miniature Case IH equipment, developing woodworking, finishing and project planning skills through the exhibit.

🎉 Congratulations to the 2026 Muscatine County Fair 4-H & FFA Premier Exhibitor Winners! 🎉

We are incredibly proud of this year's Premier Exhibitors and all the hard work, dedication, and knowledge they demonstrated throughout the competition. A special thank you to CBI Bank & Trust for generously sponsoring the scholarships awarded to our winners. Your support helps recognize and encourage the next generation of agricultural leaders!

The Premier Exhibitor Contest challenges participants in several areas, including:

🐄 Written Exam – Testing production-based knowledge of the beef, sheep, swine, and meat goat industries.

🗣️ Communication – Evaluating exhibitors' ability to effectively communicate their ideas, think critically, and take informed positions on current issues impacting the livestock industry.

📚 Skillathon – Putting practical knowledge to the test through activities such as reading medication labels and feed tags, identifying retail cuts of meat, balancing rations, recognizing feedstuffs, and more.

🏆 Live Placing – Scoring based on participation in the beef, swine, sheep, or meat goat shows, with points earned from each exhibitor's highest show ring placing.

These exhibitors have demonstrated not only outstanding showmanship but also the knowledge, skills, and leadership that are essential to the future of agriculture. Congratulations to all of our Premier Exhibitor winners on this well-earned achievement!

Congratulations to Harper Day & Lizzy Jones on receiving the 2026 Donald & Jeanne Noll Memorial Individual Herdsmanship Award!

This award is given to 4-H/FFA Muscatine County Fair exhibitors who show exceptional herdsmanship throughout the fair. Donald & Jeanne Noll were lifelong Muscatine County farmers who passed away in 2021 and 2023. Donald & Jeanne were well known amongst their friends and neighbors as hard workers who would work sun-up to sundown, taking pride in providing the best possible care for their livestock. The recipient of the Individual Herdsman Award embodies this strong work ethic and prioritizes caring for their animals at the Muscatine County Fair.
