The Jim White Foundation

The Jim White Foundation Jim was diagnosed with re-current melanoma in Feb of 2010. He passed away in March of 2011. The Foundation is dedicated to help others win this battle.

Jim wanted to ensure that if a foundation was started that providing a donation(s) to the University of IA Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center Tissue Bank, would be its initial action. This will directly help others that are fighting this horrible disease. It is also a goal to stay in close communication with his Doctor (Mo) in order to assist in the education of others pertaining to the deadly eff

ects Melanoma can inflict, so eventually, no one will have to go thru what he and so many other amazing people have had to endure. In addition to being dedicated to support those dealing with Melanoma, the family's vision for The Jim White Foundation will eventually evolve to also include the simple yet vital concept of community. As Jim was passionate about bringing community together thru his dedication to independently owned businesses and thru local, organized sports.
