We were honored to participate in today’s Wreaths Across America ceremony at Murrysville cemetery. Many, many thanks to everyone who worked to plan this event and the volunteers who braved the cold so that we could honor our fellow service members during this Christmas season. 🇺🇸🎄

Check out Valor Lacrosse Club on November 15 right here in Murrysville at Veteran’s field! Stop by and watch a game, and learn how they are working to raise awareness for and prevent veteran su***de. This is an awesome organization supporting our veteran community!

The Veterans Annual Lacrosse Open and Remembrance (VALOR) Invitational seeks to unite veterans, current service members, first responders, and the lacrosse community in a memorial game that honors the principles of “playing for those who came before us, those who cannot play, and those who have yet to play.” This game is open to anyone willing to come together, contribute to healing, and simply play. The event is family-friendly and welcomes all spectators. A special invitation is extended to all local Korean and Vietnam War veteran communities to witness the healing power of the medicine game.

If you are interested in playing or know someone you feel should be honored during the game, please reach out via DM.

Enjoy this quick overview below, then check out the link to learn more
"On May 5, 1868, the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR), a politically powerful organization of Union veterans led by Major General John A. Logan — issued General Orders No. 11 or the "Memorial Day Act." This issuance formally established "Memorial Day" as a Decoration Day on which the nation would remember its war dead and decorate their graves with flowers.

Our Legion members, Scouts from Troop 205, and community volunteers worked tirelessly on Saturday to refresh the flagpole area at Branthoover Cutoff. They spread 13 yards of mulch, trimmed the planting bed, cut the grass and provided all new flags so that our American Flag is respected and ready for Memorial Day. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸Thanks to all who helped!!
