A Place for all Pieces

A Place for all Pieces A Place for All Pieces promotes positive self-identity and social skills.

At A Place For All Pieces, our goal is to increase the quality of life for autistics, and those affected by autism spectrum disorders. By providing opportunities for social motivation, initiations and peer-to-peer interaction, we believe in targeting social skills instruction, as this has been identified as a core deficit area of autism spectrum disorders. We believe neurodiversity in school and s

ociety should be embraced by nurturing respect, acceptance and appreciation for differences among human beings. Empowered with a positive identity, autistics will possess the confidence, discipline, leadership and productivity to become contributing citizens in their community.

The Temecula Youth Basketball League (TYBL) and the Murrieta Valley Youth Basketball (MVYB) will both have youth teams in the 2026-27 Winter Season, and children must be in grades K-12 to participate. APFAP Adult STARS Team (18 years and older):
• Registration will open up September 2026
• All games will be played at Rock Fitness in Wildomar (24305 Prielipp Rd STE 107, Wildomar, CA 92595), days and times TBD
For all the basketball teams, we will try to have neuro-typical buddies for each player. However, it is possible that there will not be enough buddies for everyone. Accordingly, all parents must be willing to be a buddy for their child if their child requires a buddy to participate. We are hoping this wont be necessary, but just in case, you may be required to assist your child if that is required and we don't have enough buddies.

Please be aware that each team has limited capacity, accommodating up to 35 players. All teams share a commitment to:

• Offer community-based training and team placement programs for athletes with disabilities, led by dedicated basketball volunteers.
• Provide an inclusive platform for people with cognitive or physical disabilities to learn and enjoy basketball.
• Strive to integrate every athlete with disabilities into our local basketball family, ensuring they feel valued and successful.

We look forward to an exciting season of basketball, unity, and empowerment for all participants. Join us in making this a memorable experience for our neurodiverse friends and their families!
