Sgt. Eric Williams Scholarship Foundation

A little over 10 years ago, we created the Sgt. Eric Williams Scholarship Foundation. With your help, through donations or time, we proudly awarded dozens of scholarships at Murrieta Valley High School and Mt. San Jacinto College's EMT program. After 10 years, we have decided to close the foundation and focus on honoring our HERO is other ways. We decided to take the remaining funds at the college, which are substantial, and donate a large piece of equipment for their new EMT/Paramedic program in Eric’s name. We are so grateful to all of you for your interest, time, donations, and good wishes. We could not have been able to accomplish all we have accomplished, without all of you. We will keep this page open for updates on our work with Mt. San Jacinto College. I felt it was only fitting to make this announcement on the eve of the anniversary of Eric's passing, and I thank you, humbly and sincerely, for joining us on our journey in honoring our HERO.

On July 23rd, my dear friend, Teresa, visited all three monuments in Murrieta and placed sunflowers and balloons for me, as I no longer live in California. Thank you so much… it looked beautiful!! 🌻🌻🌻

Today, we honor the memory of SGT Eric E. Williams.

SGT Williams served as a medic with 3-82nd General Support Aviation Battalion - GSAB. He was killed on July 23, 2012 while in-transit from his duty station in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan.

During my time as a grief care group facilitator, we have frequently spoken about the dash… the life our hero lived. 💜When I am asked about Eric, I usually say he lived life to the fullest and loved his tribe fully. Lucky for me, he once wrote it all down. Yes, he lived his life to the fullest! 💜🇺🇸⭐️

We awarded a scholarship to Curtis Smith at the close of the fall semester at Mt. San Jacinto College. His instructor stated Mr. Smith exemplified what it means to be an EMT professional, and his dedication to learning all about EMT was unparalleled. He further stated he had a great report with his patients. Congratulations, Curtis, and best of luck in your future endeavors! 💜🇺🇸⭐️

Eric was in Afghanistan for his 27th Birthday in 2011. Ten years later, we miss him and wish he was here for his 37th! Missed more that he could have ever imagined. 💜🇺🇸⭐️
