Anthony's Memorial Softball Tournament for Preeclampsia Affecting at least 5-8% of all pregnancies. By conservative estimates, these disorders are responsible for 76,000 maternal and 500,000 infant deaths each year.

Preeclampsia is a disorder that occurs only during pregnancy and the postpartum period and affects both the mother and the unborn baby. Globally, preeclampsia and other hypertensive disorders of pregnanc

y are a leading cause of maternal and infant illness and death. Help me raise money on behalf of the Preeclampsia Foundation to support research and promote awareness on this horrible disease. TEAM INFO: The entry fee for each team player is $35. There must be a minimum of 8 players max of 13. It is coed, but the teams must be about equal in genders. The cut off date for players to get a t-shirt will be Feb. 11. Please try to register a week before the event so we can get a team total. DONATIONS STILL NEEDED:
Snack bar items such as: hot dogs, chips, drinks, hamburgers, breakfast burritos, water etc. Softball gear and balls
Stories of people that have had Preeclampsia or HELLP syndrome

I would like to inform everyone that the tournament for 2012 will be cancelled. There were some unforeseen circumstances, and thought that cancelling the tournament would be best. Although, I will still be participating in the Promise for Preeclampsia in May. If you have any question about the Promise Walk, you can visit www.promisewalk.org

Thank you all for being interested in helping out this year. Once things settle down, I will continue the tournament in 2013.

It's about time to start planning for next year's tournament! I know it feels like just yesterday that we all joined together to play. Next year, I am looking for more volunteers and sponsors. I will be in my second to last quarter of school before graduation. All and any help would be much appreciated. In the next month or so would like to hold a volunteer meeting. Today was a huge success. Congratulations to Firehouse Broilers for winning yet another year. We will get you next year though :) The day went very smooth and everything was perfect. Thank you again to all the teams, volunteers, umpires, sponsors etc for all that you have done. It truly was a fantastic day and I couldn't have been able to do it without you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
