“Dear Friends at MilVet,

I wanted to personally write to you to show our appreciation for your work to support deployed service members! Every mail day is like a holiday! We are always so excited to see what’s inside the packages. I feel so loved and cared for when I receive even the smallest most miniscule items. The things most take for granted are the things that can mean the most. Thank you for all that you do. Your support is seen and we love it.

Thank you!!”

“Dear MilVet Volunteers and Donors,

Thank you so much for the wonderful care package you sent us here on Camp Bondsteel. Everyone loves the snacks – protein bars, cookies, beef sticks – definitely something for everyone, and the toiletries are so essential! I loved this card, because soldiers are like cats when it comes to new boxes, everyone wants a peek inside to see what’s there. Your encouragement and support mean so much to us as we continue our mission. Thanks!”

Sincerely, Audrey (Camp Bondsteel Soldier) 10/26

The Sun City Library hosted a Local Author Fair today where I was able to share A Veteran’s Story - Courage and Honor. The community was able to meet a few authors in the book - Doc Rod Fink, Jason White and Jose Cortez for autographs and to learn more about their service.

It was an honor to be the keynote speaker and hear more about the life of Jason White in the Army and Doc Fink as a Corpsman in Vietnam. Thank you to Kim Pike for hosting this event with more than 40 authors and for weathering the storm. It was a beautiful and unforgettable event.

“Team,

Once again, thank you so much for the care package! I don’t know how you all do it, but you always seem to send exactly what I need. I’m scheduled to redeploy this month, and the travel-size items arrived at just the right time because I was about to purchase some myself!

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for all the care packages you’ve sent me. Each one has brought me joy, comfort, and a little piece of home while I’ve been away. Your thoughtfulness and generosity have meant more to me than words can express.

Please know how much I appreciate everything you’ve done and the support you’ve shown throughout my time away.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for supporting all of us who are serving away from home. May God bless you all!”

Drop off locations for Murrieta announced!

Let’s all support our deployed troops for this challenge. Murrieta won last year and we want to keep the momentum going! The biggest winners are our deployed troops. Please help support them while they are supporting us and our freedoms. We have lots of drop off locations!

Menifee showed up in a big way! 🇺🇸

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Faith and Blue event at the beautiful Santa Rosa Academy! The City of Menifee-Police Department and the Menifee Interfaith and Community Service Council partnered with our community to assemble military care packages through MilVet.

This event wouldn't have been possible without the leadership of David Foust, Lesa Sobek and Pastor Sharp of the Menifee Interfaith Council and Chase Coburn of the Menifee Police Department. We were also honored to have Menifee Mayor Ricky Estrada, recently returned from deployment, and Menifee Councilman Dan Temple join us.

A huge thank you to the sponsors: who helped us reach our goal: Evans Brown Mortuary, The Grey Legal Group, APC, Menifee Lions Club, The 9th Shield, Grand Canyon University, 911 Recovery, Congressman Ken Calvert, and Legion Pest Management. And thank you to Which Wich, Neighborhood Healthcare PACE, and Lead Your Ship Ministries for keeping everyone fed and hydrated!

Personalized care packages filled with snacks, hygiene supplies, and handwritten letters will ship to 200 locations this month. To everyone who attended and donated, thank you, we're so grateful.

And a giant thank you to our MilVet volunteers, who give their time all month long to make this such an incredible organization to be part of. ❤️💙
