🇺🇸 CARE PACKAGE DRIVE FOR OUR DEPLOYED TROOPS 🇺🇸

As we prepare to celebrate our nation’s independence, let’s remember the brave men and women serving far from home.

“Freedom isn’t free.” This 4th of July season, the Canyon Lake Junior Women’s Club is proud to host a Care Package Drive to support our deployed troops. Every donation collected will be given to MILVET, who will package and ship these items directly to service members overseas.

Whether it’s a favorite snack, a toiletry item, or a handwritten note of encouragement, your contribution helps send comfort, appreciation, and a reminder that they are not forgotten.

📍 Drop-Off Location:
Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant & Cantina
31780 Railroad Canyon Rd
Canyon Lake, CA 92587

📅 Donation Deadline: July 6, 2026

Together, we can show our gratitude and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who sacrifice so much for our freedom.

We also encourage other clubs, organizations, businesses and community groups to consider hosting a collection drive as well. Working together, we can send even more support and appreciation to our deployed service members.

🇺🇸 Contribute to our care package drive and help us send comfort, encouragement, and a reminder of home to our troops. 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 82 years ago, brave Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy and changed the course of history forever. On June 6, 1944, courage, sacrifice, and brotherhood were put on full display under unimaginable conditions. Today, we honor the heroes of D-Day and the legacy they left behind.

This year, MilVet is especially honored to support two incredible 82nd Airborne Division Veterans, Jared and his friend Bobby, as they travel to Normandy, France to jump at the 82nd Anniversary of D-Day. 🇫🇷🪂

Jared will become the first upper limb amputee to accomplish this mission — an extraordinary tribute to the servicemembers they’ve lost and to our WWII Veterans who paved the way through courage and sacrifice.

Because of this amazing community, MilVet helped raise $10,000 to help make this mission possible. Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, supported, and believed in honoring our heroes in such a meaningful way.

Their jump is more than a parachute landing — it’s a living tribute to brotherhood, remembrance, resilience, and the enduring spirit of those who serve. 🇺🇸

MilVet was thrilled to partner with Now Laugh Later for a fantastic event at the Temecula VFW Post 4089! We enjoyed an inspiring evening featuring insightful talks from Raven Hilden and Supervisor Chuck Washington, along with a hilarious performance by comedian Johnny Herrera.

It was a wonderful opportunity to come together in support of our veterans and strengthen our community through learning and laughter. Thank you to Alex Diaz for bringing the community together in a fun and informative way and to everyone who attended and made the event a success!
