Martha's Mothers & Others is a parish ministry that started in 1999 when a small group of women volunteered to help develop the vision of how to best serve our church family. They encouraged friendships and a sense of community through monthly fellowship meetings while also creating opportunities for spiritual growth through prayer, bible study and retreats. Our mission is to provide service to ou
r parish and community, provide fellowship and spiritual growth opportunities, to support women and their families during the joys, challenges and sorrows, and to encourage and build community. To fulfill that mission, SMMO has raised thousands of dollars through annual fundraisers to help with the building fund, the family life center, childcare room, religious education and vacation bible school. Martha Mothers & Others members and families have also contributed thousands of hours of community service supporting Community Outreach of Murrieta (food pantry), Amanda Park Senior Community, St. Martha 2nd Hand Treasures (thrift shop), San Diego Bloodmobile, and Catholic Charities as well as many other local non-profit organizations. SMMO also supports parish activities in sponsoring special events such as Blessing of the Animals, Trunk or Treat, St. Nicholas Festival, Easter Egg Hunt, welcoming new parishioners, prayer chains, parish events, and many more activities.
