Our November meeting was a good one! ATC Jared Greg from TRACON came to speak with us and discuss what TRACON does and the ins and outs of being an air traffic controller. Kelly Manzani gave us a brief ground school on airspace. We all enjoyed dinner brought in by parents (thank you everyone who donated and helped!) while we got ourselves ready for rechartering for next year. Next weekend, we are going to TRACON to see what we’ve learned in action!

We assisted our friends at EAA Chapter 1279 with their Young Eagles event yesterday at the Fallbrook Airpark. They had 8 pilots donating their time and gas to fly 28 kids to introduce them to the world of aviation. Great cause and great people. Our Explorers worked so hard to get everything set up and broken down, plus some duties in between (like our receptionists Brian and Eshaan, and Chef Chad making some burgers!) Some of our hard workers even got to fly a bit too. Nice job everyone!! So proud of all of you!

Add two more of our Explorers to the First Solo list! We are so proud of both of you, Clayton and Brian! It was also Brian's 16th birthday, and his behind the wheel driver's test (yes, he passed and got his driver's license!) Congrats to you both. 🛫

Well, it's been a while since we've posted our happenings! Our Post has been so busy since about March, and we've done many things since then which we want to share, but our July meeting is being shared first because we are so proud of our kids.
We had 13 Explorers, 2 Explorer Potentials, 5 guest speakers, and many wonderful, supportive parents!!! Big news, Wyatt won the Inland Empire Council's Exploring Scholarship, and Clayton won the Ray Aviation Scholarship from EAA, Chapter 1279!!! It's always said, you have to be in it, to win it...go out an apply for those scholarships even if you don't think you'll get it.
EFI's awesome CFI gave us a ground school on the PAVE Checklist. We were so happy to have her, and our young aviators learned a lot (parents too!) from the lesson.
Up next, a day at Camp Emerson for our hard working kids for a day of fun. We'll be shooting clay pigeons and targets on their gun range and learning some fi****ms skills and safety.

We are so behind in posting our adventures! We had a Yanks Museum outing, the amazing Ret. Lt. AF Colonel Kari Tackett as a January speaker, a few of our Explorers went on their own adventure to Catalina, an escape room outing for some fun, and a great February meeting with our good friends from EAA. Our calendar is booked from now until July! Stay tuned for more exploring with our Explorers! So very proud of all of these kids and grateful for the people who are so willing to further their Aviation goals. ❤️✈️

Post 7500 Holiday Party was so much fun! After looking at different places to host it, we decided being home was the best place. We enjoyed games, lots of laughs, and some yummy food from Chick Fil A. The 2022 Aviation Explorers Post 7500 Scholarships were awarded to 7 Explorers who worked hard for them and we presented them with the checks that night. Thank you all for another great year and happy holidays❤️
