🇺🇸 Happy Flag Day 🇺🇸

Today, the USEA proudly celebrates Flag Day (June 14)—a day to honor the symbol that represents our nation’s unity, freedom, and shared values.

In our schools across Utah, the American flag stands as a daily reminder of the opportunities we provide to our students and the dedication of the employees who make education possible. From classrooms to cafeterias, buses to offices, our members play a vital role in shaping the future of our communities.

Let’s take a moment to reflect on the meaning of the flag and the ideals it represents—service, respect, and commitment to one another.

❤️🤍💙 Thank you to all school employees who embody these values every day.

🍩🌎 Happy Friday, Utah ESPs! 🌎🍩

Today gives us double the reason to celebrate—National Doughnut Day AND World Environment Day!

Whether you’re enjoying a well-earned doughnut in the break-room or taking a moment to appreciate the beautiful Utah outdoors, today is all about balance—treating yourself while taking care of the world around us. 💚

Our education support professionals make a difference every single day—supporting students, strengthening communities, and helping build a better future. And that future depends on both caring for each other and caring for our environment. 🌱

So go ahead—grab a doughnut 🍩, share a smile, and maybe even take a small step to go green today, whether that’s recycling, picking up litter, or simply spending time outdoors.

👏 Thank you for all that you do. We hope your Friday is filled with appreciation, positivity, and maybe a sprinkle or two!

🚨 PROTECT YOUR UNION MEMBERSHIP! 🚨

Your union gives us a powerful collective voice to stand up for what matters most—our students, our schools, and our professions. 💪📚

Together, we’ve already achieved meaningful wins across the state, from pay raises 💰 to protected planning time 📝 that supports both educators and student success.

But not everyone wants to see us succeed.

Anti-education politicians are working hard to weaken our union and silence our voices—like targeting tools like payroll deduction for dues. make to make it harder to stay united.

👉 Don’t let them succeed.
By switching to AutoPay, you help ensure our union stays strong and continues fighting for the working conditions we need—and the learning conditions our students deserve.

✅ Take action now: https://edues.nea.org/eDues/righthere.jsp?state=UES

Stand strong. Stay united. Protect your membership. ✊

Mondays with Mike…on a Wednesday? 😅

We promise it started as a special Tuesday edition… and somehow landed here on Wednesday. Turns out the one who posts these videos (who may or may not been at the BBQ event) needed some extra time to post it.

This week, Mike is on location in Alpine School District lending a hand at an awesome BBQ hosted by the Alpine ESP Association. From assisting with the grilling to greeting members, it’s all about showing appreciation and building connections with the amazing ESP community.

And speaking of BBQs—did you know USEA has the equipment and the team ready to help bring events like this to your local? That’s right! We’re always happy to hit the road and support our locals in hosting great member events.🔥🍔

Better late than never—thanks for tuning in to this slightly off-schedule (but totally worth it) edition of Mondays with Mike!
