The Humane Society of Calloway County is a grassroots nonprofit organization that works tirelessly to make a difference for animals and the people who love them. Without government funding or national oversight, they rely on community support to offer vital services like pet adoptions, spay/neuter assistance, a pet food bank, foster programs, and even dog training.

Generations Adult Day Services is a licensed Adult Day Health Center that provides support for families living with challenging illnesses or disabilities. Their mission is “to be a source of light to families who are living with challenging illnesses or disabilities: serving them with dignity and love by providing socialization, activity, and encouragement throughout the day”. They offer nursing, personal care, well-balanced meals, case management, socialization, therapeutic activities, supervision, and community living support.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) by the Lakes envisions a world where every abused or neglected child has a chance to thrive. Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteers stand up for children's best interests and work to ensure each child has a safe, permanent home through advocacy, support, and empowerment. Donations are vital, providing the financial resources needed to sustain and expand services for vulnerable children.

The Angels Attic Thrift Shop was founded on July 11, 2002, by St. John’s Episcopal Church, with proceeds benefiting the Murray-Calloway County community and over $ 2.5 million supporting the Angels Community Clinic.

Today, Angels Attic provides financial support for the HOPE Calloway and Murray-Calloway Need Line and supports other community charities through the sale of donated items. Each purchase and donation helps strengthen programs that serve individuals and families across our community.

As part of the Home Care Department transition, construction of the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House began in the summer of 2014. Thanks to months of dedication, hard work, and the unwavering generosity of community donors, the hospice house proudly opened its doors in November 2016.

Today, the hospice house provides compassionate, specialized end-of-life care, supporting patients and their families earlier in the disease process. Through education, assistance, and comfort, the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House serves our community and the surrounding region, making a profound difference in the lives of those facing serious illnesses.
