๐ŸŒ Asian Development Center is honored to explore a meaningful collaboration with Utah Global Diplomacy.

After a wonderful conversation with Delara Hosseini, Interim Director of Utah Global Diplomacy, we are excited about the possibility of working together to promote cultural understanding, global dialogue, immigrant and refugee engagement, youth leadership, and community-based diplomacy here in Utah.

As part of this growing connection, Utah Global Diplomacy has invited ADC and our community members to attend their upcoming free World Affairs Speaker Series event:

**German & U.S. Foreign Policy in a Changing Era**
Featuring Tobias Bergner, Director of the German Information Center

โฐ Doors open at 5:00 PM | Lecture starts at 5:30 PM

๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Free event

This event will bring together community leaders, global affairs professionals, and local residents for an important conversation on German-American relations, transatlantic cooperation, democratic alliances, and global affairs.

At ADC, we believe that strong communities are built through education, dialogue, respect, and partnerships. We look forward to strengthening our connection with Utah Global Diplomacy and exploring future opportunities to co-host forums, support international visitor programs, and connect Utahโ€™s diverse communities with global conversations.

We encourage our friends, partners, and community members to attend and be part of this important discussion.

We are excited to share a major milestone for the Asian Development Center (ADC)! ๐ŸŽ‰

ADC now has its own office space in Murray, Utah โ€” a new home where ideas, community support, education, collaboration, and empowerment will continue to grow.

This space represents more than just an office. It is a step toward building a stronger and more connected community for immigrants, refugees, international students, and families across Utah. From workforce development and educational support to cultural engagement and health awareness programs, this office will help us expand our impact and serve our community more effectively.

We are also proud to share space alongside amazing organizations working to make a difference in Utah. Together, collaboration creates stronger communities.

Thank you to everyone who has supported ADCโ€™s journey so far. This is only the beginning. Our vision is bigger โ€” creating opportunities, building partnerships, and one day establishing a permanent community center for future generations.

๐ŸŒ Celebrating Culture, Community, and Belonging at the Living Traditions Festival In Salt Lake City

The Living Traditions Festival is more than a cultural event. It is a powerful reminder that Salt Lake City is growing into a place where many languages, traditions, foods, music, faiths, and immigrant stories can come together in one shared public space.

For Asian Community Development Center, this festival deeply reflects our mission: Health, Knowledge, and Belonging. Events like this help communities feel seen, respected, and connected. They create bridges between generations, between new Americans and long-time residents, and between different cultural groups who all call Utah home.

In a city like Salt Lake, where Asian, Pacific Islander, immigrant, refugee, and multicultural communities continue to grow, spaces like the Living Traditions Festival are essential. They remind us that diversity is not only something to celebrate once a yearโ€”it is something to support, protect, and invest in every day.

As ADC continues working toward community health education, youth and family support, cultural connection, and the long-term vision of a shared community center, we are inspired by moments like this. A strong community begins when people have a place to gather, learn, celebrate, and belong.

Thank you to everyone who helps keep cultural traditions alive in Utah. Together, we can build a more inclusive, healthy, and connected future.

โค๏ธ Join Us in Building a Community of Lifesavers! โค๏ธ

Every second matters during a cardiac emergency.

Did you know that 9 out of 10 people who experience cardiac arrest outside of a hospital do not survive? Many lives can be saved when community members know how to respond quickly with hands-only CPR.

Thatโ€™s why the Asian Development Center (ADC) is proud to partner with the American Heart Association Heart Walk and Nrna Ncc Utah to host a community CPR training session and empower our community with life-saving knowledge.

๐Ÿ“… Date: June 4, 2026
โฐ Time: 5:00 PM
๐Ÿ“ Location: 34 S 500 E #201, Salt Lake City, UT

This event aligns with ADCโ€™s mission of Health โ€ข Knowledge โ€ข Belonging by ensuring our communities have access to critical health education and emergency preparedness resources.

Whether youโ€™re a student, parent, professional, or community member โ€” this training could help you save a life someday.

Letโ€™s learn together. Letโ€™s prepare together. Letโ€™s save lives together.

Earth Day 2026,

Today is Earth Day. Six numbers worth sitting with.

๐ŸŒก๏ธ 2024 was the hottest year ever recorded. Global average temperature crossed 1.5ยฐC above pre-industrial levels for the first time - the line the Paris Agreement was built to hold.

๐Ÿซ 99% of the world breathes air that exceeds WHO limits. Air pollution kills 7 million people a year - more than HIV, TB, and malaria combined.

๐Ÿ’ง 4 billion people face severe water scarcity at least one month per year. By 2030, demand may exceed supply by 40%.

๐ŸŒณ We lose a forest the size of a football field every second. Tropical deforestation alone drives ~10% of global emissions.

๐Ÿ Insect populations have declined ~45% in 40 years. The pollinators behind 1 in 3 bites of our food are quietly disappearing.

โœจ And yet: 90% of people worldwide want stronger climate action. The will exists.

At the Asian Development Center, planetary health and community health are the same conversation. Air quality shapes the asthma we see at screenings. Climate shocks hit immigrant and underserved families first. Earth Day isn't about guilt - it's a reminder that the planet's health is our health.

What's one thing you're doing for the planet this year? ๐ŸŒ
