Murfreesboro Girl Scout Day Camp Murfreesboro Girl Scout Day Camp is a volunteer driven organization. Since the 1960s, girls have enjoyed camping on Camp Piedmont's scenic acreage.

Camp is staffed by experienced and enthusiastic volunteers, committed to the ideals of the Girl Scout program. Day Camp features themed activities each summer, as well as a traditional camp program of songs, games, crafts, and nature activities.

There’s nothing quite like the sound of morning melodies to start the day off right! We’ve loved hearing our scouts' voices filling the camp with song all week long.

Here is what you need to know for Friday:
☀️ Be Prepared: It's going to be hot tomorrow. Please ensure your camper has sunscreen and bug spray applied before arriving. Don’t forget water bottles!
🔍 Tick Check: We’ve been very active outdoors today! Please give your camper a thorough tick check this evening.
🌭 Cookout Lunch: Tomorrow is our final day, and we are celebrating with a hot dog cookout for lunch for all campers!
🏅 Awards Ceremony: Families are invited to join us for our final Awards Ceremony at 1:30 to watch your scout receive patches. Bring a chair, sit-upon, or towel to sit on during the ceremony. We can’t wait to celebrate this gem of a week with you! See you there!

Our scouts have been spending some quality time at the craft station this week, and their creativity completely rocks! From raw stone to beautiful masterpieces, we love watching them express themselves. We are getting closer to the end of camp, and the bonds these girls have formed are as strong as diamonds.

Here is what you need to know for Thursday:
🌧️ Be Prepared: The forecast is telling us to be prepared for rain. Be sure to bring a rain coat, poncho, or some kind of rain gear.
🔍 Tick Check: We’ve been very active outdoors today! Please give your camper a thorough tick check this evening.
🩱 Water Day: Bring your swimsuit, water shoes, and towel with you to camp. Arrive wearing your usual camp gear and campers will have the opportunity to change before the scheduled water activities.
⏰ 6th and 7th Graders + DCAs Late Pick Up: Our older campers are invited to stay late tomorrow. Dinner will be provided, and pick up is at 9:00 PM.

A Girl Scout is always prepared! Our campers are making first aid kits, learning new First Aid skills, and leveling up their Outdoor Living Skills. From learning how to treat a minor scrape on the trail to understanding outdoor safety, these girls are proving they are tough as granite!

Here is what you need to know for Wednesday:
☀️ Be Prepared: It's going to be sunny and hot tomorrow. Please ensure your camper has sunscreen and bug spray applied before arriving. Don’t forget water bottles!
🔍 Tick Check: We’ve been very active outdoors today! Please give your camper a thorough tick check this evening.
🥘 Juniors Cooking: Our upcoming 4th and 5th graders will be cooking their lunches tomorrow. They need to bring a mess kit.
🚙 7th Grade Field Trip: Campers should wear wear their camp shirts and can bring money if they want to go shopping in the gift shop.

We kicked off Day 1 of "Camp Rocks!" this morning with our opening flag ceremony. The energy today was absolutely faultless! Today, our scouts started diving into their Outdoor Living Skills. We can’t wait to see what treasures this week holds!

Camp starts TOMORROW, and our "Camp Rocks!" geology adventure is officially ready to roll.

Camp is coming very soon! This time next week we will have Day 1 down and done!
We are looking forward to seeing all of our wonderful staff and our fabulous Day Camp Aides! We have training and set-up this Saturday at the church and hope to see everyone there.
But first we have to get things out of their resting places and over to the church. We picked up water coolers and OLS patches at council today and Amazon has been busy delivering interesting packages to our front porch. Our "Gems and Geology" badges are already here and the Day Camp patches are arriving on Thursday. The teeshirts will soon be all screened and in our hands... can't wait to see them finished!
All we are missing are some happy campers! We are super excited to say that we have 92 campers registered and 6 little pre-K "Pixies" - and 26 teenage DCAs! Not to mention a whole bunch of boys and Tagalongs...
It's going to be a great camp! Stay tuned and see!

Happy Friday!
There are only three more Fridays before Day Camp!!!
Things are coming fast around here! Patches have been ordered and and shirts are getting prepped - both are like the color of this year's logo on this page - kind of a raspberry shade. We went for something we have never had before. And wait until you see the badges - they are awesome!
Lots of cool stuff has been ordered for crafts and activities - we can't wait to open up more boxes and packages!
Info letters will be emailed out next week. Be on the lookout for them! See you at camp!

We are counting down the days... three days left to get those camper registrations in! Friday is coming fast!
We are looking for a few (more) good girls... we are overflowing with experienced campers, but we need some more rising first graders. Those little Daisies will have an awesome experience getting to do camp for the first time! Send them our way for a week of summer fun!
And our Pixie Unit leaders want some new friends to join them! These wonderful ladies are lifelong Girl Scouts and Day Campers and they can't wait to introduce these pre-schoolers to the exciting world of Girl Scouting! We are accepting registrations for this group through Sunday, May 10th. Some iffy weather prevented us from sharing our story with a great group of prospective Girl Scouts, but we can't wait to tell you all about our plans! There is just over a week left to get those registrations in!
Our latest camper to register is Lilah - she isn't a Girl Scout, but we are always glad to have non-scouts join us and learn what Girl Scouting has to offer.
We are happy to report that we are already have more campers registered than we did last year and we also have a bunch of pre-school Pixies joining us! There are lots of exciting things being planned!
We were at the church property a couple of weeks ago checking things out and walked down to the creek! We even climbed around on a large rock outcrop - if you don't know what a rock outcrop is, you'll find out at camp!
We are ready to ROCK this camp! Come join us! ⛏️🪏⚒️
