The AWC Family Foundation is graciously providing a MATCH Challenge for the cemetery until Veterans Day (November 11th). They have pledged to match up to 1,000 wreaths, sponsored during this period, just for the groups within Wreaths Across America Middle TN State Veteran's Cemetery

Battlin' Betties Tennessee Platoon is proud to serve as an official sponsorship group for Wreaths Across America supporting Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery for the 4th year in a row.

Each wreath sponsored not only honors one of our nation’s heroes laid to rest, but also helps support our mission of honoring veterans and first responders throughout our community.

Battlin Betties is a nonprofit auxiliary of ladies who proudly dress in 1940s–1950s attire and participate in community events dedicated to remembering and honoring those who have served and those who continue to serve.

As of this morning, our wreath count is 4, 763 of the 14,680 for Wreaths Across America Middle TN State Veteran's Cemetery

The AWC Family Foundation is graciously providing a MATCH Challenge for the cemetery from today until Veterans Day (November 11th). They have pledged to match up to 1,000 wreaths, sponsored during this period, just for the groups within location.

Dear Gold Star Families, Sponsors, Honored Guests, and Supporters,

It is with heavy hearts that we share an important update regarding the Gold Star Family Heroes Remembrance Dinner, originally scheduled for November 21, 2026.

Due to the heartbreaking loss of a veteran brother and his memorial service taking place on November 21st, Battlin Betties Tennessee Platoon has made the difficult decision to reschedule the dinner to Saturday, January 9, 2027.

This decision was not made lightly. Our mission is deeply rooted in honoring our fallen heroes, supporting their families, and ensuring their sacrifices and legacies are never forgotten. At this time, it is important for our leadership to be present with family and honor a brother who meant so much to us, while allowing us the opportunity to bring everyone together for this meaningful event at a later date.

To our Gold Star families, please know that our commitment to honoring your heroes remains unchanged. We look forward to welcoming you and your families in January for an evening dedicated to remembering your loved ones, celebrating their legacies, and surrounding you with the love, respect, and gratitude you deserve.

To our sponsors, donors, and community partners, we sincerely appreciate your generosity and continued support. Your contributions help make this event possible, and we are grateful for your understanding as we navigate this unexpected change.

On January 9,2027, Battlin Betties Tennessee Platoon will host our Gold Star Family Heroes Remembrance Dinner, and we are asking our community to help us find Gold Star Families who would allow us the honor of recognizing their loved one.

A Gold Star Family is an immediate family member of a service member who died while serving on active duty, making the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

💛 Your family is invited to attend FREE of charge.

This evening is about remembering the men and women behind the sacrifice — saying their names, sharing their stories, and making sure their service and sacrifice are never forgotten.

We want to know their names.
We want to hear their stories.
We want to honor their lives.
We want to recognize YOUR HERO. 🇺🇸

🇺🇸❤️ 5 YEARS OF WELCOMING OUR HEROES HOME ❤️🇺🇸

For the 5th year, we had the honor of standing alongside Honor Flight of Middle Tennessee
to welcome our heroes home. 🇺🇸

And somehow, after five years, the emotions never get easier.

The flags.
The cheers.
The smiles.
The handshakes.
The hugs.
And yes… the tears. ❤️

Every time those veterans walk through those doors, there is something incredibly powerful about being there to greet them. For many of our Vietnam veterans, the homecoming they received decades ago was nothing like the welcome they deserved.

So we stand there today to make sure they know what should have been said all those years ago:

WELCOME HOME. 🇺🇸

Thank you for your service.
Thank you for your sacrifice.
Thank you for answering the call when your country needed you.

We cannot change the way you were welcomed home back then.

But we can make sure you are welcomed home now.

Five years. Thousands of flags. Countless hugs, handshakes, smiles and tears.

And we will keep showing up.

Welcome home, Vietnam Veterans. You are loved. You are respected. You are remembered. 🇺🇸❤️

There is so much more meaning behind the folding of our American flag than simply bringing it to that final triangle.

Each fold carries a story — of life, faith, sacrifice, service, family, and freedom. 🇺🇸

From the first fold, symbolizing life, to the final fold, reminding us of our nation’s motto:
“IN GOD WE TRUST.”

Every time we see our flag folded, let us remember the men and women who served beneath it, the families who sacrificed beside them, and the freedoms that so many have given everything to protect.

🖤 EVENT CANCELLATION 🖤

With a heavy heart, we have made the unfortunate decision to cancel this event.

The US Veterans Motorcycle Club has experienced several losses over the past couple of weeks. At this time, our focus needs to be on our brothers, their families, and attending the memorials and honoring their lives.

We sincerely appreciate Moonshine Harley-Davidson for their understanding and support, as well as the entire biker community for standing beside us during this difficult time.

We truly hope Moonshine understands our decision, and we look forward to the opportunity to work together again in the future.

Today, we pause to honor the mothers and families who carry the lifelong legacy of a loved one who gave their life while serving our nation.

⭐ THE HISTORY OF THE GOLD STAR

The tradition of the Gold Star dates back to World War I. Families displayed service flags in their windows to show that a loved one was serving. A blue star represented a family member serving in the military. When that service member died, the blue star was replaced or covered by a gold star, signifying the family’s tremendous loss.

Today, the Gold Star represents much more than a symbol. It represents love, sacrifice, loss, remembrance, and an enduring commitment to never forget.

Behind every Gold Star is a story.
Behind every Gold Star is a family.
Behind every Gold Star is a life that mattered.

Today, we remember the fallen and stand beside the mothers, fathers, spouses, children, siblings, and families who continue to carry their legacy.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸⭐
