We can’t even put into words the rollercoaster of emotions we have been through over the last 5 weeks. We want to thank everyone who, not only supported us over the last 5 ½ years, but also over the last six weeks. We’ve received countless messages, phone calls, and emails. All the kind words and support everyone has shown proves this isn’t the end of our story, but just the end of one chapter.

After 5 1/2 extraordinary years of serving our community, we are heartbroken to share that CDS of Murfreesboro will be closing our doors. We began our journey as a licensed child care facility with the hopes of working with the Department of Human Services to shape their current rules and regulations and help children with special needs and other behavior needs experience success in all centers. The Department eventually realized that the services we offered were like none other. At that time, they issued us an exemption. Sadly, the Department of Human Services has decided that our program no longer meets their requirements for an exemption and we have been ordered to cease all operations. We plan to fight this decision and hopefully lay the groundwork for future centers like CDS. We appreciate everyone’s love and support throughout the years and we are so grateful for the time that we had with all of your children. We will post updates as we have them.

It’s here!!

Our next round of Social Skills groups is all about learning social behavior through movement! This Social Skills group will be all about learning social behavior through movement!

Learners will work on listening, teamwork, cooperation, problem solving, spatial awareness, and communication skills through gross motor activities. These activities can include Simon Says, obstacle course building, Hullabaloo, charades, Yogarilla, Hot Potato, and many more! All activities will be adapted as needed to support all learners.
