The Family Promise team WILL have a meeting tonight via Zoom. We are excited that we are finding ways to move forward by creating an official board and working towards a program of Prevention and Stabilization. Check your email for the zoom link OR send a message for it to be sent to you.

We may not be able to meet together as we normally would on this first Monday of the month BUT we are still working to make Family Promise a reality in Rutherford County. Can you help us connect to a church who might be interested in becoming a partner or host church? Do you know of a great place for our day center?
We may be moving more slowly in this time than we would like but we are moving! Please keep us in your prayers and shower us with your great ideas!

We are most excited about the next steps Family Promise of Rutherford County is taking to become operational! Tony McDade, a Family Promise National Associate, will be with us on Monday, February 3, at St Marks UMC to lead the "Building a Board Orientation."
The schedule will be as follows:

6:00 PM - 6:30 PM Fund Development Team

6:30 PM - 8:00 PM - Light Dinner, Fund Development Team, Day Center Search Team, Entire Core Group

8:00 - 8:30 PM - Day Center Search Team

This will be a night offering valuable information and insights for our teams and entire Core Group.

We are quickly moving forward! If you have been waiting for this opportunity to jump into Family Promise - now is the time!

Marcee Gordon of Interactive Trainings Solutions. She will share about opportunities that Family Promise may consider working with to boost our teams and kickstart our year.
We are looking forward to getting back together!

As we journey through this season of hopeful fulfillment and genuine joy we wish you peace and renewal as needed. And... as we enter into the New Year, may we be energized to offer our time, hearts and collective efforts to those who, despite Christmas generosity, still seek the coming of hope, bread to eat and shelter from the cold.

It is a joy to share that Bethel UMC is our 7th Host Congregation! We extend many thanks to Pastor Corrie Alexander and members of the congregation! This means we are over half way to meeting our goal of 13 Host Congregations!

Our next meeting with be Monday - November 4 at 6:30. We will be continuing to learn about other ministries that we hope to partner with. Our guest speaker will be Lacey Wilkins, Executive Director of Stepping Stones Safe Haven Ministry. https://steppingstonestn.org/

The Family Promise monthly meeting will be Monday, October 7, at the Wesley Foundation, 216 College Heights, Murfreesboro (note change of meeting location for this month). The Wesley Foundation is our most recent addition to the family - they have agreed to be a host location!

Our chapter of Family Promise celebrates that we currently have four Host Congregations – St Marks UMC, Hwy 231 South Church of Christ, First Baptist Church - Main St, Cornerstone UMC.
Come help us get nine more!
We will meet at 6:30 Monday, September 9 at St. Mark’s UMC. Come see what it’s all about!
