We lost a long time resident of Shawnee over the weekend, Larry Neal who live on Tomahawk Trace.

Larry M. Neal, age 71 of Murfreesboro, passed away July 24, 2015. He was a native of Memphis, TN and son of the late Amos Edward and Mildred Wallace Neal.

A Memorial service will be held Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 6 p.m., at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, with Dr. John Todd and Dr. John Hinkle officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until service time Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Neal is survived by his wife, Halley Neal; children, David (Janet) Neal, Brett Neal, Kelly (Tim) Lavender, and Matthew Neal; a brother, Robert E. Neal; grandchildren, Misty Lavender (Bob) Foy, Lindsey Brooke Crain, Michael (Amy) Lavender, Morgan Whitney (Dustin) Mynatt, and Mallory Brooke Neal; and great-grandchildren, Courtlin Crain, and Grace, Alice, and Rose Foy.

Mr. Neal attended Memphis State University. He began his career in the construction business under Wallace E. Johnson in Memphis, which allowed him to fulfill his dreams of developing construction projects throughout the United States.Online condolences may be made at www.woodfinchapel.com.
