Healing Field of Murfreesboro

05/25/2026

Today is the final day of the Murfreesboro Healing Field. 🇺🇸

Before the flags come down, we invite our community to come walk the field, reflect, remember the fallen, and honor the men and women who have served our country with courage and sacrifice.

Join us this afternoon for a special afternoon of remembrance and tribute:

🎶 4:30 PM — Musical performances by Victoria Steelman and Tecia McKenna
🇺🇸 5:00 PM — Closing Ceremony, with Guest Speaker Major General (Ret.) Bill Hickman, and then we will honor some special veterans from our community.

The Healing Field has stood this weekend as a powerful reminder that freedom is never free, and every flag tells a story worth remembering.

If you sponsored a flag, you may retrieve your flag immediately following the closing ceremony.

We hope you will join us one final time as we close this meaningful Memorial Day weekend tribute. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

Located at 265 W Thompson Lane.

What an incredible day at the Murfreesboro Healing Field! 🇺🇸❤️

The rain stopped just in time for our Opening Ceremony, and it could not have been more perfect. Seeing the field come to life with hundreds of flags standing proudly in honor of our heroes was truly moving.

A HUGE thank you to General Keith Huber, Ed Arning, the Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center, MTSU ROTC, Victoria Steelman Ministry & Music, and Sergeant George Keith with The Salvation Army for the important roles each of you played in making this ceremony so meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported the field, sponsored flags, and helped place flags this morning. Your support and presence made today incredibly special.

We were also honored to have Scouts from Middle Tennessee Council, BSA, Trail Life, and American Heritage Girls helping serve throughout the morning.

And a special thank you to Rutherford County Fire-Rescue for joining us today.

This field stands as a powerful reminder that freedom is never free — and that remembrance matters. 🇺🇸
