Farmer’s Market at Lane Agripark will have evening hours this year!

The Rutherford County Farmers Market is excited to announce the addition of evening hours for the 2026 summer/fall season, offering the community a new opportunity to shop local and connect with local farmers. Beginning this May, the market will host a special evening market on select Tuesdays from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 315 John R Rice Blvd, Murfreesboro, TN.

This new schedule aims to make the market more accessible to residents who may not be able to attend during traditional morning hours. The evening market will feature the same variety of fresh produce, baked goods, and local products that visitors have come to love, all in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.

“The evening hours are a great way to reach more members of our community,” said Hannah Bleam, Market Manager of the Rutherford County Farmers Market. “We’re eager to see how residents respond to this new option and whether it becomes a favorite part of their weekly routine.”

The evening market will serve as a pilot program for the 2026 season, allowing vendors and the Rutherford County Agricultural Extension Office to gauge community interest and determine if extended hours should become a permanent feature in future years.

The Rutherford County Farmers Market remains committed to supporting local agriculture, promoting healthy eating, and fostering community connections. Visitors are encouraged to come out, meet local growers, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere that makes the market a staple of Rutherford County life.

Location: 315 John R Rice Blvd, Murfreesboro, TN

hosted its usual Saturday meetup. Expect us through October with some cool season activity thereafter. Our city network now contains several community gardens, and each major city has something similar now in TN. It's still warm and fruitful. Buen provecho

Now we prepare our garden for its first foray into cold season farming. We intend to apply season-extending techniques. This will allow us to elongate our growing season, have multiple crops, and experiment with cold tolerant varieties. While the future looks bright, it's time to chill out for a while.
