🎨🍀 4-H Craft Day🍀🎨

Our Pike County 4-H’ers have been busy getting creative during Craft Day!

Craft Day is more than just a fun day of painting, designing, and creating. It gives our members the opportunity to learn new skills, use their imagination, and create projects that they can enter in the fair!

One of the best parts of 4-H is watching a project go from an idea to a finished piece—and then seeing our 4-H’ers proudly display their hard work at the fair!

Every project is a chance to learn by doing, build confidence, and maybe even bring home a ribbon! 💚🍀

One of our favorite Pike County 4-H traditions is T.O.T.E. Day — Teaching Others Through Experience! 💚

Each year, our 4-H’ers have the opportunity to share what they know, teach others, build confidence, and practice leadership skills through fun, hands-on activities.

That’s what 4-H is all about—learning by doing and then using what you’ve learned to help someone else grow!

We love watching our Pike County 4-H members step up, share their talents, and become leaders in their clubs and communities.

What a great day at the Arkansas 4-H Food Challenge on Tuesday🎉

A huge congratulations to our Sassy Spatulas team for bringing home 2nd Place! Your teamwork, creativity, and hard work paid off, and we're so proud of you!

Shoutout to our Camo Cookers for winning Most Creative Team Name💚👏 You definitely made an impression!

We're still waiting on the final results for the Camo Cookers' competition placement, as they did not place in the top three. No matter the outcome, we're proud of both teams for representing our county with enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and determination.

Congratulations to all of our 4-H'ers on a job well done🍀💚

Yesterday, the Pike County Tech Changemakers traveled to Little Rock for a day of hands-on learning and technology training.

During the training, they participated in sessions including:
🔹 Focus Friend
🔹 Pitch It, Teach It, Change It
🔹 Creating Strong Passwords
🔹 Ozobots: Advanced Color-Coding

These interactive programs helped our Tech Changemakers strengthen their technology, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills while preparing them to share what they’ve learned with others in our community.

We are proud of these young leaders for their enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and commitment to making a difference through technology. We look forward to seeing them put these new skills into action throughout Pike County!

🍀On Saturday, August 1, these teens (Carsyn Ballard, Cayden Ballard, & Cale Humphry) represented Pike County 4-H Teen Leaders & had the privilege of presenting our Blessing Box Project to the Arkansas 4-H Alumni Association.

For the past several years, this project has allowed our Teen Leaders to make a difference by collecting, sorting, and delivering food to Blessing Boxes throughout Pike County. Through this effort, our youth are learning that leadership isn't just about holding a title, it's about serving others with compassion and purpose.

Thanks to the generosity of our amazing community and the support of an Arkansas 4-H Foundation Innovative Program Grant, our Teen Leaders have helped stock our Blessing Boxes with:
🥣 118 boxes of cereal
🥣 10 packets of oatmeal
🍓 32 Nutri-Grain bars
🍫 90 granola bars
🌾 16 Rice Krispies Treats
❤️ Over 700 additional food items!

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported this project over the years. Whether you donated food, gave financially, volunteered your time, or simply encouraged our youth, you are the reason this project continues to make an impact. Together, we are helping neighbors in need while teaching the next generation the value of service and leadership.

As Teen Leader President Carsyn Ballard shared,

"Small acts of kindness can make a big difference."

Thank you to the Arkansas 4-H Alumni Association for inviting our Teen Leaders to share their story, and to the Arkansas 4-H Foundation for investing in youth leadership through the Innovative Program Grant.

💚 Together, we're filling more than Blessing Boxes...we're filling our community with hope.

✅ If you're exhibiting market animals or commercial females, your DNA sample must also be submitted and postmarked TODAY, July 31.

⚠️ Animals requiring a DNA sample that do not have one submitted by today's deadline will be ineligible to exhibit at the 2026 Arkansas Youth Expo. No late DNA submissions will be accepted.
