Summer breakfast & lunch schedule for all children under 18 🍔🌮🌭

Free summer meals for kids are back! ☀️

MCS Feeding Sites begin Monday, June 1, offering free food for all children 18 and under. Please note: school-based locations will be closed June 29–July 3.

This year, we’re excited to partner with our Communications & Family Engagement team to bring even more to our community. MERV (Mobile Educational Resource Van) is joining CHOW (Combatting Hunger on Wheels) and CHEWY (Cultivating Healthy Eating with Youth) and will be out weekly, and all three mobile food vehicles will feature fun, themed activities for kids.

Working in the field of child welfare can be stressful and bring up difficult emotions at times. It’s so important to take a moment to breathe, connect, and remember why we do what we do.

In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month, we’re spreading awareness by sharing blue pinwheels with our community—while also taking a little time to laugh, smile, and enjoy the moment together. 💙

Because even in the hard work, there is purpose, hope, and joy.

💙April is Child Abuse Prevention Month 💙

You’ve probably seen the blue pinwheels. They represent the happy, healthy childhood every child deserves. But awareness is just the beginning. Action is what truly strengthens families.

Here are a few simple ways you can support families in your community:

👉Offer a ride to a parent who needs help getting to appointments or work
👉Donate to our organization so we can continue walking alongside families
👉Share gently used clothing, diapers, or essentials
👉Encourage and support grandparent caregivers who have stepped in
👉Invite a single parent or family to a community event or church service
👉Check in on a family and remind them they’re not alone

Strong families build safe relationships for children. It takes all of us.

Every small act of kindness is a “pinwheel moment” that helps prevent child abuse before it starts.

Congratulations to our amazing CPRS!!

Congratulations to our amazing CPRS!!

We’re proud to celebrate two of our team members, Candy and Lydia, on earning their CPRS-J certification! 💙

And yes… they’re literally jumping for joy in this picture, and we don’t blame them! This is a huge accomplishment and a moment worth celebrating.

Their dedication to supporting youth and families, paired with lived experience and a heart for recovery, makes a meaningful impact every single day. This certification strengthens the support we are able to provide in our community.

Please join us in congratulating them on this well-earned achievement and for continuing to show up for the families we serve.
