📢 NEW YARD-VIOLATION NOTIFICATION PROCESS

The MHHA Board of Directors is introducing a new door-hanger system to notify members of yard and exterior maintenance violations.

Rather than immediately mailing a formal letter, a door hanger will be placed on the member’s door identifying the concern and the number of days provided to correct it. Violations may include:

• Grass that needs cut
• Overgrown weeds
• Garbage or litter in the yard
• Excessive clutter
• An unsightly exterior appearance
• Other yard-maintenance concerns

The door hanger will include the date the violation was recorded, the correction deadline, and the initials of the Board representative who documented it.

Failure to correct the violation may result in the following:

• First violation: $25 fine
• Second violation: $50 fine
• Third violation: MHHA may outsource the work at the member’s expense
• Continued violations may result in further action for objectionable conduct

This new approach is intended to provide members with clear, timely notice and an opportunity to correct concerns before additional enforcement becomes necessary.

As members of a cooperative community, we all share the responsibility of keeping our property clean, safe, and welcoming. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us maintain the appearance of MHHA.
