Our boys are making headlines-literally! 🗞️🏅

The Eastern Lycoming YMCA swim team competed at the YMCA state meet held in Morgantown, West Virginia and saw plenty of success. The medley relay team of Isaac Moyer (age 10), Grant Summers (10), Jaiden Peachey (9) and Henry Michaluk (10) won the 10-and-under boys medley relay with a time of 2:13.26...

What a weekend for the Eels at PA YMCA States at West Virginia University! 🏊‍♂️🏊🏻‍♀️🖤❤️

Our swimmers showed up ready to race and left it all in the pool. The 9–10 boys had an incredible meet, finishing 2nd in the state overall with 8 podium finishes 👏 The 9–10 girls brought the energy, hitting the podium in the free relay and lighting it up in medley relays and individual events.

The 11–12 girls put together strong performances across both relays and individual swims, while the 11–12 boys had an awesome showing in their individual events.

The 13–14 boys stepped up big with impressive swims in both relays and individuals.

And our 15–18 boys capped off the weekend in a big way—podium finishes in the medley relay and 5 individual events! 🔥

This group has worked their butts off all season long to get here, and it showed. We couldn’t be more proud of their effort, teamwork, and heart. Way to represent, Eels!👊🏻

Jaiden Peachey is heading to states in the 50 Free, 100 Free, 50 Fly, 100 Fly, and 100 IM — an incredible lineup!

Henry Michaluk qualified in the 50 Free, 100 Free, 50 Fly, 50 Back, and 100 Back — amazing versatility in the pool!

Grant Summers will compete in the 50 Breast and 100 Breast.

Our boys will also be bringing the energy in both relays:

Jack qualified in the 100 Breast and 200 Breast, and Kian qualified in the 50 Breast.

Huge congratulations to our 15–18 Boys Medley Relay for punching their ticket to YMCA National Swimming Championship!

At the YMCA Central District Championships, this group put together an incredible swim and qualified for Nationals with a time of 1:38.98! 🔥

These guys stepped up when it mattered and delivered a huge race. We are so proud of their hard work, teamwork, and the way they represent the Eels!

The ELY Eels had an awesome showing this weekend at the Central PA YMCA District Championships! 🏊🏻‍♀️🏊🏽‍♂️

From huge time drops and state qualifiers to district champions and even a nationals-qualifying relay team, our swimmers truly brought their best to the pool. Every race, every relay, and every finish showed the hard work these athletes have put in all season.

Just as impressive as the swims was the team spirit. The stands were loud, the energy was high, and the kids were incredible at cheering each other on and supporting their teammates all weekend long.

With the theme “Welcome to the Jungle,” the Eels absolutely represented! 🐆🦓The pride, energy, and teamwork on display made it a weekend to remember.

So proud of this group and everything they accomplished. Way to go, Eels! ❤️🖤

Best of luck to our ELY Eels District Qualifiers as they head to Graham Aquatic Center to compete in the YMCA Central District Championships this weekend in York!
