Kesem at Ball State University

Kesem is a nationwide community that supports children ages 6-18 through and beyond a parent’s cancer Through and Beyond support services.

Kesem is a diverse community led by passionate and empathetic college students working to ensure that children facing the challenges of a parents cancer have space, connection, and support to rediscover the joys of childhood. Our mission is to support children through and beyond their parent's cancer with free, fun-filled creative programs and a lasting community. Kesem at Ball State University wa

s founded in --- and supports children in the Delaware community by providing Camp Kesem, a free week-long summer camp experience, and year-round. Our chapter is operated by five student volunteers and serves 37 campers, ages 6-18 per year. Kesem operates at more that 130 chapters coast-to-coast. Its programs and services are all funded by generous donations from individuals, foundations and corporate partners. Kesem is a federally registered 501(c) not-for-profit organization

A few weeks ago, Kesem at Ball State hosted our 10th annual Make the Magic gala and what a night it was! In one evening, with all who helped us, we raised almost 12,000 dollars to help children beyond a parents cancer! We created an environment to share stories with people who understand, a source of endless laughter and smiles, and a reminder of all the people who will always be there for you. From the bottom of our hearts at CKBSU, thank you for your continued support and love you bring our chapter. Here are some of our favorite photos from our evening ✨

Registration is open for Kesem at Ball State’s completely FREE overnight summer camp 🐛
Camp will be from July 26-30, and we’d LOVE to have you!!

This camp is for kids ages 6-18 in central Indiana facing a parent’s cancer to find support through and beyond the diagnosis, treatment, remission, or passing of a parent or guardian. No matter the journey, there’s space for everyone to find healing and joy 💚💙
