Join us for our monthly letter writing session for Political Prisoners this upcoming Wednesday at 7pm. Letter writing is a simple yet necessary action we can all do to deepen our relationship with those behind bars and maintain accountability to our Political Prisoners. Through our writing we are building connections and relationships that contribute to ongoing prisoner support work, and making sure that those holding our Political Prisoners captive know that there are eyes on them.

Join us for another session of our self defense workshop led by Brazilian Jujutsu artist Jared Loper!

Self-defense has a long legacy within left radical traditions and should be understood as necessary for collective safety and a portal towards autonomy, self-determination and liberation.

This is a free, hands-on event where attendees will be trained in basic self-defense skills and will walk away more competent and confident in their ability to defend themselves and their community.

This month on October 29th Naeem Trotter from the P2 will be having a Post-Convict Relief Hearing for a possible resentencing on the grounds of ineffective counsel representation, and he needs all the support we can give him.

We are entering into the 42nd year Naeem has been captured by the settler-colonial state in Indiana for standing up and saving the life of his fellow inmate, Lincoln Love, and exerting his right to self-defense against the white supremist, state sanctioned violence those incarcerated experience’s. As a grandfather and an elder with severe medical conditions, now more than ever it is time for him to come home.

On October 29th at 1:30PM at Madison County Government Center, Naeem will be presenting evidence to the state in defense of his case and will be representing himself as counsel. Join us as we stand in solidarity with Naeem and demonstrate our strength in numbers to show the state there are eyes on them.

There will be a caravan to his hearing for maximum attendance. Please scan the QR code in the above post to fill out the Google Form for tracking. If you are in need of a ride, please arrive at the Muncie Liberation Studio 1809 W University Ave at 12:00PM. If you have extra space and are able to drive people to the hearing, please arrive at the same time.

This is not the time for protest. If you attend the hearing, please be respectful and maintain a level of composure. We do not want this to backfire on Naeem’s possibility of freedom.

Starting this October, Collage with Comrades events will feature different thematic presentations and discussions that focus on anti-fascist resistance and cultural art/community!

For this Collage with Comrades on October 26th, we will be giving a short presentation on STAR (Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries) and early forms of organized LGBTQ+ resistance. Open questions and discussion will be after the presentation. This is to hopefully center a nice conversation and topic for collage!! The collage activity will be available before, during, and after the presentation.

JOIN US on October 26th to learn about revolutionary q***r history and make some fun art to take home!

Supplies will be provided. Bringing your own supplies is encouraged! but not necessary.

Here are some pictures from Wednesday’s Prisoner Writing session for Christopher “Naeem” Trotter who is 1/2 of the Pendleton 2. As we attend his Post Conviction Relief Hearing, we as organizers have to understand the importance writing to, teaching about, and supporting our political prisoners! These people are not just our captured revolutionaries, they are the very foundation of our liberation movement. It was through their courage, selflessness, and determination that we are allowed to stand with our heads held high. With that said, our Prisoner Writing Sessions will be on the last day every month! Come and attend!!! Remember the Call, Free them all!!!”

Back by popular demand, Sapphic Saturday will be coming back on October 17th at the Muncie Liberation Studio in collaboration with the Lavender Closet!

This event will be an easy-going craft and community night focused towards sapphic people, however, everyone is welcome! Crafts include nail polish, bracelet making, group games, and clothing patch making, with supplies provided by .rosie.prints !
