1,900 families served in Muncie today!

I made it back this morning at 12:30am and by 8am I was outside getting my day started. By 9am I was at Heekin park volunteering with HOPE in Delaware County Walmart Muncie - E 29th St and the City of Muncie. Thanks to Donations from Walmart we passed out food to over 1,900 people impacted by the floods that transpired in Muncie! It was a day to remember! HOPE is a group in Muncie that brings local business owners together and its crazy that’s how my story in Muncie started was meeting the late Jack Surface and him needing help to unload trucks for second harvest food bank! Thanks to all the volunteers from the City, Walmart, and local small business owners! Thanks to Tina Black from Midwest Metal Products, Jay Smalley from Fully Promoted Muncie, William from A-1 for Fun. Shareen Wagley from the City Of Muncie, Debbie from Edwards Payroll and Tax, Inc. Maria French from Christian Women Ministries, Patricia Roark from Christian women Ministries, Susan Dillion from YFC and lastly myself with A Voice For Kids INC!

Thanks to all the hard work from the different city departments. Please keep an eye on the Hope, City of Muncie or Walmart South page for more distributions! And as always remember the reason this is bringing people together and giving back is flood victims so many people who are living in hotels been displaced from the floods are utilizing these resources it’s super important that these resources and continued to be given to flood victims until they can recover so anybody impacted by the floods continue to monitor social media and the resources available for you! And continue to support the HOPE group and help participate in our events and fundraising so we fan continue to serve those in need in Delaware County!

Thanks again so much to Walmart and the city for all their help today!

Respectfully,
Matt Peiffer

Just wanted to give you all perspective of the work that goes on behind the scenes at A Voice For Kids INC. With just over 600 preliminary foster children we hope to serve this christmas your support this year. Your help is needed now more then ever!

I hope you'll consider volunteering and grabbing a tag across Grant, Delaware, Jay, Madison, Henry, and Hamilton Counties in November to provide Christmas to foster children across the state! And just for transparency because we serve a office across the state doesn't mean those foster children don't live in your community.

Unfortunately there's not enough foster homes in every county so children are placed across the state outside of their local area. We are tracking that data this year just to see where your donations go and how much stays local. But the one brightside you can consider every gift you purchase inside your local county is money that is staying local! We estimate every year to put close to $86,000 into local communities!

With less then $5,000 a year in donations your support as we go into the holidays matters! I do this all for free behind the scenes today I sent over 230 emails to local buisnessess in Jay County trying to find local for our Christmas trees. I have to travel to each of those counties when I get back and walk into every buisness I can find to advocate for our kiddos. The planning, organizing, long days and nights, the rejections from businesses is all part of the role I play with A VOICE FOR KIDS INC.

Some of these numbers are inflated we are still waiting for Randolph and Madison County Numbers and some offices haven't told us how many they need sponsered so it was a estimate from last year and averages of other offices and sizes. Its so early to tell what the final count will be. But I am confident between 500 and 600 is the best guess!

I can't thank each of you enough for the role you have played since 2020 to help us provide for foster children!

Respectfully,
Matthew Peiffer

Excited to be asked to be a co host for a new podcast with my fellow friends/colleagues/degenerates. Follow our journey as we continue being a voice for children.

Following 13 years of severe abuse, Matthew Peiffer entered the Indiana foster care system at age 16 alongside his two sisters. Navigating the turbulence of foster care. Matthew emerged from childhood instability not with bitterness, but with a fierce determination to ensure no other child felt unseen or unsupported.

When he tragically lost his younger sister to su***de in 2016, Matthew turned his profound grief into purpose, stepping onto the national stage as a passionate, unstoppable advocate for child abuse prevention and foster care reform. His tireless work and policy advocacy earned him a national award from T-Mobile in 2019, providing the seed funding to found his non-profit, A Voice for Kids, Inc. Dedicated to restoring joy and normalcy to vulnerable youth, the organization serves over 1,200 foster children across Indiana yearly through essential community initiatives like Birthday Boxes, back-to-school supplies, and Christmas gifts.

Matthew’s impact spans from local grass roots to the highest halls of government. He has advised on legislative bills, collaborated with the U.S. Department of Justice, received multiple Congressional honors, and been featured in USA Today for his work on adoption and child welfare reform. Known affectionately in his hometown as "Muncie’s Smile Man," Matthew bridges his advocacy with hands-on service in public safety, bringing a unique, grounded perspective to the intersection of law enforcement, community responsibility, and youth advocacy.

As a podcast co-host, Matthew brings raw authenticity, resilience, and a willingness to ask the challenging questions that push conversations further. Never satisfied with easy answers, he naturally examines complex issues from multiple perspectives—encouraging both his co-host and listeners to step out of their comfort zones, re-examine their assumptions, and challenge themselves to think deeper. Whether discussing trauma recovery, non-profit leadership, he speaks with the heart of a survivor, the mind of an advocate, and a relentless focus on hope.

We had the chance to make a dream come true for a foster child thanks to Indianapolis Motor Speedway donating brickyard 400 tickets to a foster child being served by Centerstone Foster Care! Also thanks Anna Lefler McGlinchy for purchasing fishing equipment for this young man! I can't show you the smile on his face due to privacy restrictions. I at least wanted to share the impact each and every one of you make when you help provide birthdays, back to school, and Christmas for foster children in Indiana!

Thanks for continuing to believe in us at A Voice For Kids INC and out mission. I was recently denied a grant because they felt I wasn't providing a sustainable impact. But hearing the stories and impacts we have made on the lives of children since 2020 is what will always keep me going to ensure foster children feel loved and supported on the big days in their life!

We are always looking for your donations of icing, cake mix, balloons, and candles! They can be dropped off at the locations below!
