Our friends at Memorial Drive Wesleyan Church are hosting an ice cream social this Saturday, August 8 in celebration of the back-to-school season and we hope to see you there!

Monday!

Recent LA Film School Grad, and Muncie native Jayden Porter will be doing a music production and theory class here on Mondays at 4!

This Monday he’ll host an informal Q&A session to talk to interested people. It’s geared at local youth but parents are encouraged to join and learn too! 4pm at Common Market!

The Family Resource Center has moved locations, and we hope to see you at their grand re-opening and ribbon cutting open house on Friday, July 31 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Hearts & Hands United of Delaware County will be hosting their annual Tools for School giveaway on Saturday, August 1 at 10 a.m. This program provides free backpacks, school supplies, and shoes for all Prek – 12th grade students living in Delaware County.

Today is National Be Someone Day. A day that challenges each of us to take ten seconds out of our day to make a difference in a child’s life and work towards a collective goal of ending child abuse.

As adults, it is our job to protect the future leaders of our community, and be a positive presence and safe haven for them. Today and all days, we hope you’ll join us in fighting for a better future for all children.

Get ready for Downtown Muncie’s hottest party of the summer at Fire Up DWNTWN! There will be hot air balloons, live music, food trucks, and more, plus a fireworks finale at the end of the night. It’s going to be so much fun, and we can’t wait to see all of our neighbors there!

There’s a new family program happening every Thursday in July at 7 p.m. at Ross Community Center that we want you to know about!

Bedtime Stories and Book Swap is a free program that allows families to swap new or gently used books with neighbors, listen to stories read by members of the community, and have a snack, all while fostering improved literacy in our children.
