Here is some updated info about the fitness classes this summer!
I'll say it once again, if you haven't followed our new page COH Interprofessional Community Clinic, or found us on Instagram , you'll miss out on all the info about the clinic offerings, health fairs, outreach events, and free fitness classes. We've just wound down summer semester, and will be ramping up Fall with some additional classes. Follow the new page so you won't miss out. This page will be deleted on August 1st.

We wanted to share this news about Teresa McClain here, while we still can... Please follow our new page COH Interprofessional Community Clinic, or find us on Instagram We'll be deleting this page on August 1st.

We are so proud of Teresa McClain who was honored as the 2024-2025 Non-Tenure Line Faculty of the Year, by the Ball State College of Health . She is instrumental in outreach success and program leadership in Speech Pathology and Audiology. With more than 25 years at BSU, Teresa leads the way as Associate Clinical Lecturer of Speech Pathology, where in addition to serving as Program Director for the undergraduate and graduate programs, she supervises students and sees patients in the clinic.

Teresa's dedication to community outreach and her expertise in Swallowing, Dysphagia, Aphasia, Apraxia, Dysarthria, and Language Acquisition of International Adoptees have made a significant impact. Her commitment to both education and community service exemplifies excellence in her field. What also stands out is Teresa’s dedication to recruiting students to her profession. She proudly talks up SPAA and health professions in the Indiana Youth Program on Campus and guides current students to help out at University and College Preview Days.

Congratulations, Teresa, on this well-deserved recognition! Your passion and leadership continue to inspire and enrich our community.

Mowing season is upon us!

Did you know... the average volume of a lawnmower while in use is 95 decibels, and according to the American Academy of Audiology, any sound louder than 85 decibles is considered potentially hazardous and could result in hearing loss/damage.

Happy Friday! We would like to thank those who have transitioned over to the new page! The COH Interprofessional Community Clinic is almost to 200 followers, which is a milestone for a new account. Happy Friday (the 13th)! For some today's date might be a triggering or frightening prospect, but it doesn't need to be that way. We're here at the Counseling Practicum Clinic to talk to you about working through fears, triggers, and trauma. Our students, who are candidates for a masters in clinical mental health counseling, or doctoral students in counseling psychology are here to help you improve your mental health and address your individual needs. Here are all the summer fit class offerings from the COH Interprofessional Community Clinic If you would like to stay connected with us, please follow and LIKE the new page. This page will be sunset on August 1. We're also on Instagram so find us there, if you prefer. Today's classes are at the Buley Center.

Sorry folks, we had to cancel the 9 a.m. line dancing class with Cardinal Wellness at Southside Middle School, due to rain. You can check out other classes today at the Harvest Christian Church. We're keeping an eye on the weather and hoping it clears up for the start of Aqua Zumba Today, but we'll let you know. Line dancing will be back on Wednesday at Southside, or Tuesday at Buley Center. See you there!

It's National Donut Day! Can you DOnut us a favor, and like our new page, COH Interprofessional Community Clinic? We have experts in nutrition who work with patients through the Healthy Lifestyle Center, who can help you learn how a donut can fit into a balanced diet. We'll be sharing content on the ICC activities until this page is shut down, so if you want to keep up with us, give us a like or a follow! We're also on Instagram .

Aqua Zumba is happening again this summer at Tuhey Pool. This class is weather dependent, as the pool closes if it's cold or raining. Our class is free, but you still have to cover the entrance fee into the pool of $2.50. Please follow COH Interprofessional Community Clinic's page on Facebook, or on Instagram at cohicc, so you can stay up to date on the details. First class is 6/9 at 6 p.m. We hope to see you there.

This summer keeps getting more exciting! We wanted to share that the COH Interprofessional Community Clinic's Healthy Lifestyle Center along with Cardinal Wellness are once again hosting Aqua Zumba at Tuhey Pool. This is a free class, but participants do pay the gate entrance fee to the pool of $2.50. This class starts next week on 6/9 at 6 p.m. Activities at the pool are weather dependent, cancellations will be announced on the Cardinal Wellness Page, and the Interprofessional Community Clinic Pages, so if you haven't liked their pages yet we encourage you to do so. They're your go-to sites for details about free fitness classes and community outreach health screening events across Delaware County and beyond.
