Blackhawk families,

Our community has been hit hard with flooding and storms. There are many that have flood damage, lost necessities ,trees down, etc. There are many of you that have connections to great resources to help those in need. Need help? Comment. Able to help? Comment. Spread the word. We are strong and We Are One!

Due to the current flooding and future forecast for more rain, Cowan Community Schools will be CLOSED again tomorrow Friday August 14th.

🚨🚨 [UPDATE] When approaching the schools on 600 South, please be aware there is ponding water west of the railroad tracks, as well as west of the elementary school. If you are driving a small car, a better route to approach the schools may be from the south on 50 East. 600 S is fine between the schools.🚨🚨

Please be careful with the close and frequent lightning ⚡️ as it moves out of the area. It does look like more storms will follow this one throughout the day with more heavy rain and lightning. Please take ALL necessary precautions and stay safe!
