Those who know me know that I wear heels every day. For me, it’s not just about fashion - it’s a statement. A statement for the women I work for, women whose voices and struggles too often go unheard.

Each October, I invite you - my friends, colleagues, neighbors, associates, and family - to take a walk in HER HEELS. This is more than a symbolic step. It’s a public commitment to stand with women who are working to rebuild their lives.

H.E.E.L.S. means: Help Her. Empower Her. Encourage Her. Lift Her. Support Her.

Together, it HEALS her.

YWCA Central Indiana dedicates October to HER - to raising awareness and resources for women in our community who come to us for what many of us take for granted: shelter, food, and safety.
