While Adoption Connections may no longer be a licensed agency, we still feel very blessed to be able to provide emotional and practical support in adoption situations. Two of our Adoption Connection families, who adopted children while we were an agency (one family adopted one baby, and another had adopted two babies), had their children's birth moms come back to us asking if they would please consider adopting another baby so the siblings could stay together. Both families said yes, and BOTH babies were born on Friday … at the same hospital! What a weekend! Rebecca Bruce, as an adoption attorney, facilitates these adoptions legally, along with the help of other adoption attorneys, when needed. Rebecca Bruce, Adoption Attorney Sue Brogan works with Rebecca and provides social work / case management advocacy to the birth moms. Watch for an edifying adoption story article to be released about one of these situations in the near future!

Wow! It's looking like I (Rebecca) will be helping 33 children finalize their adoptions on Friday as part of National Adoption Day! Twelve in Grant County and 21 in Delaware County! No wonder I'm stressed! All for a good cause ... Thankful for the help of Adoption Connections staff Jessica Cox Gors and Terri Sue Brogan with setting up the reception for Delaware County's event.
