What an incredible day!! We were able to help hand out disaster relief supplies and food to 1,881 people today thanks to our partnerships with Walmart Muncie - E 29th St and the great City of Muncie!! Thank you to all who volunteered today and who helped us to coordinate the giveaway.
We love our community and we are happy to serve those in it!!

Disaster Relief Giveaway For Delaware County.

We are HOPE of Delaware County (HOPE = Helping Other People Everyday), a local non-profit organization. We have partnered with Walmart and the City of Muncie to accept and distribute disaster relief supplies to those in need following the recent floods in Delaware County.

Donation information is as follows:

—Monday, August 24, 2026

—Distribution Place: Heekin Park (corner of Memorial St and Madison St – actual address 1797 S Hackley St, Muncie, IN 47302)

—Distribution will be at 10am, 12pm and 2pm.

—Walmart is donating 3 trucks full of free disaster relief items. We aren’t sure just yet what will be on the actual trucks, but we have requested water, cleaning supplies, paper goods, hygiene supplies, tarps, cleaning tools, storage containers, and food.

—Those who need the supplies will need to come to the park to get them. Donations will not be delivered to homes or businesses.
