Jim and Amy filled up their Human Library library card and walked away with a travel mug!

How does this work? You come to a Human Library event and get a library card. Bring it back the next time and get it stamped again. Two more and you are awarded some merch! Bring a friend, get 2 stamps!

We have always said that coming to a Human Library event is very rewarding!

We had such a great time at Conner Prairie last Sunday! Our Bookshelf was full. The reading room was full. Our hearts were full. A whole lot of unjudging going on!

Trump is set to make a speech tomorrow to all Americans. The topic is elections. It is important to know what he says. He will use this as his roadmap to control elections. Stay tuned.

📖👀 How do I become a Reader at the Human Library and where can I find events in my area?

The Human Library has events all over the world, through our Depots and Publishing Partners, we host events for everyone to join as a Reader.

📍 Currently, we have Depots in Australia, the US, Germany, Switzerland, the UK and Denmark.

If you are not close to the Depots, we have Publishing Partners who are licensed and trained by the Human Library. We usually partner with local institutions and organizations. To organize, you need to apply via our website, humanlibrary.org. The link for becoming a Publishing Partner can be found here: https://humanlibrary.org/human-library-organizers/publishing-partner/.

Through the Human Library Online platform, you can read Books anywhere and choose the Title you’re interested in. Here, you can from all over the world. 🗺

💻 Every month, we host a Public Online Reader’s Corner on Zoom. As a Reader, you’ll join a small group in a reading room, meet a Human Book, and take part in two 30-minute conversations. The event is 2 hours total.

🇺🇸 📚 Where can you find the Human Library in the US?

The Human Library is an organization spread out all over the world. If you’re looking to join an event, we have local Book Depots and Publishing Partners across the country.

In the US, we have several Book Depots:
🌉 In California, you can find us in Los Angeles and around the Bay Area.
📚 In Indiana, you can find us in Central Indiana and Fort Wayne.
🗽 In New York, there’s a Depot in New York City.
👋 And soon, we’re opening a new Depot in Cincinnati, Ohio.

If you’re not in those areas, we have local Publishing Partners nationwide. We usually partner with local institutions such as schools, universities, and libraries. You can reach out to an institution in your area if you’re interested in bringing the Human Library to your community. 🏘️

I am embarrassed for Indiana. I am incredulous that this is real.

Today, I proclaimed June as Nuclear Family Month in Indiana.

As a father of four and grandfather of seven, I have seen firsthand the impact that loving, committed families can have across multiple generations. As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, this proclamation recognizes the important role families play in shaping the future of our state and our country.

Indiana will continue supporting policies that strengthen families and help the next generation thrive.
